Funeral Services for Mr. Herbert Glynn Lindsey, Sr., age 81, of Temple, Ga. will be Tuesday, December 29, 2009, 2:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home. Rev. Wiley Butler and Rev. Don Rackley will officiate. Interment, with Full Military Honors, will follow at Peaceful Meadows Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Lindsey is survived by: Wife, Mrs. Betty Lindsey; Son, Mr. and Mrs. James Denmon (Dorothy) Lindsey of Dallas, Ga.; Grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Aimee Michelle) Cannon of Dallas, Ga., Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Todd (Mindy) Lindsey of Hiram, Ga. and Mr. and Mrs. James Daniel (Shelly) Lindsey of Dallas, Ga.; Great Grandchildren, Kathryn Elizabeth Cannon, Brian Lindsey, Avery Lindsey and Austin Lindsey; Brother, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Joe (Carole) Lindsey of Dallas, Ga.; Sisters, Mrs. Mildred Ramshur of Smyrna, Ga. and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip (Sandra) Callahan of Griffin, Ga.; Sister in Law, Mrs. Mary Lynn Lindsey of Dallas, Ga.; Brother in Law, Mr. Pete Caldwell of Austell, Ga.; Other Extended Family. In Mr. Lindsey's latter yearw with Mrs. Betty Jean Lindsey he had the love of her five children, seven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He will be remembered for his amazing selfless acts fo love and his never ending caring spirit. We love and miss ya pawpaw/papa.

 

Mr. Lindsey was preceded in death by: Wife, Mrs. Lucy Catherine Lindsey; Son, Mr. Herbert Glynn Lindsey, Jr.; Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Millard (Effie Taylor) Lindsey; Sister, Mrs. Jeanette Caldwell; Brother, Mr. Bobby Ray Lindsey.
