Mrs. May Ann Newman age 93 of Aragon, Ga passed away on November 27, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Colorado on October 15, 1916 the daughter of the late Joe Anderson and Christina Moser Anderson. Mrs. Newman was preceded in death by her devoted husband Mr. Walter Newman. She was a member of Springdale Baptist Church.

 

 

 

Mrs. May Ann Newman was survived by her daughter & son in law, Mr. & Mrs. Joe (Barbara) McDowell of Rockmart, Ga; son, Mr. Marvin Wilson of Colorado; 4 grandchildren, Corey McDowell, Jeffrey McDowell, Shannon McDowell, Brian McDowell; 10 great grandchildren, Morgan, Kensley, Bailey, Kayla, Jody, Austin, Jesse, Abbie, Dakota, and Jordan; niece, Christie Snodgrass; nephew, Eddie Snodgrass and many other beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Newman; parents, Joe & Christina Anderson; sister, Josephine Snodgrass; brothers, Bobby Anderson and Joe Anderson.

 

 

 

Funeral services for Mrs. May Ann Newman will be conducted on Monday November 30, 2009 at 2 PM at the Springdale Baptist Church with Reverend Bobby McDowell officiating. Her body will lie instate at the church from 1 PM until 2 PM. Pall bearers will include James George, Robert McDowell, Jeffrey McDowell, Brian McDowell, Charles Brooks and Corey McDowell . Interment will follow at Springdale Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

 

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday November 29, 2009 from 4PM until 9PM and on Monday from 9 AM until leaving in procession for the church at 1:30 PM.
