Mrs. Barbara Ann Goodner age 56 of Canton, Georgia passed away Sunday November 15, 2009 at Cartersville Medical Center.

 

 

 

Mrs. Goodner was born June 30, 1953 in Cobb County, Ga, the daughter of Mr. Henry Grady Verhine and Mrs. Catherine Lewis Verhine. She attended Sutallee Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was her family and she spent her life as a homemaker and caring for her cats. Mrs. Goodner enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and gardening.

 

 

 

Mrs. Goodner is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years Johnny Goodner of Canton, Ga; 2 daughters Starr and Jerry Morgan and Johnnie Goodner all of Canton, Ga; 1 grandson Justin Ingram of Canton, Ga; her loving mother Catherine Verhine of Breman, Ga; 1 brother Clyde Verhine of Athens, Ga; 2 sisters Virginia Fready of Bremen, Ga; and. Millie Fleshman of Waleska, Ga; nieces, nephews and many other beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving father Henry Grady Verhine and her brother Charles Verhine.

 

 

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Goodner will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home Thursday November 19, 2009 at 2 pm with Reverend Horace Smithwick officiating. Cremation will immediately follow. The family will receive friends on Thursday November 19, 2009 from 10 AM until the time of service.

 

 

 

A Graveside Committal Service will be held Saturday November 21, 2009 at 2 pm. We will leave from Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home in procession for Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery at 1:30 pm.

 

 

 

Honorary Pallbearers will include Shane Fleshman, Richard Raysick Jr., Jerry Morgan and Joe McRae.
