Mr. John Berl Clay, Sr. age 82 of Dallas, Georgia passed away at his residence on June 20, 2009.

 

He was born in Columbus, Georgia on April 18, 1927 the son of the late Hubert Clay and Myrtle Barber Clay. He was of the Methodist Faith and was Chairman of Paulding County School Board when Paulding County High School was built. Mr. Clay was a veteran having served in the U. S. Navy. Mr. Clay was retired from Lockheed.

 

He is survived by a daughter and son in law, Martha & Doug Hendrix of Dallas, Ga.; grandchild, Morgan Dyson of Dallas, Ga.; brother and sister in law, William H. & Beverley Clay of Rhode Island; sister, Dallas Scherer of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Graham; son, John Berl Clay, Jr.; parents, Hubert & Myrtle Clay; and brother, Maxie Georgia Clay.
