Clark Funeral Home Posted June 12, 2009 Report Share Posted June 12, 2009 Ruth Hays Gaydon, age 96, of Powder Springs, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2009. She was born in Cobb County, on March 30, 1913, and was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Napoleon Hays & Minnie Nela Rakestraw Hays, her husband, Robert M. Gaydon and son, Randall Gaydon. Mrs. Gaydon retired from Kennestone Hospital with over 20 years as a Medical Secretary. Survivors include her son, James Richard Gaydon of Hueytown, AL; daughter & son-in-law, Lonie & James Barfield of Southside, AL; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2009, at 11:00 am, from Powder Springs Memorial Gardens, with Reverend Harold Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am until 10:30 am.
