Clark Funeral Home Posted April 14, 2009 Report Share Posted April 14, 2009 John Edward Nix, age 78, of Dallas, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2009. He was born June 19, 1930, in Cumming, GA, and was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon & Elizabeth Nix, and his wife, Barbara June Nix. Mr. Nix was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U. S. Army. Survivors include his daughter & son-in-law, Jan & Kim Akins of Powder Springs; granddaughter, Alicia Gresham; great-grandchildren, Cassidy Gresham and Jackson Gresham; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2009, at 2:00 pm, from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Levi Skipper officiating. Interment will follow in Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery in Winston, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
