Lavern Joseph Thielman, age 82, of Villa Rica, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2009. He was born on March 12, 1927, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired after 30 years of service with the Internal Revenue Service. Mr. Thielman was preceded in death by his wife, Carol M. Thielman; father, Theidore John Thielman; and mother, Hannah Thielman.

 

Survivors include, sons and daughters-in-law, David & Rosalie Thielman of Plymouth, WI, Thomas & Pam Thielman of West Des Moines, IA, Larry & Juanita Thielman of Lilburn, GA, and Timothy & Missy Thielman of Luling, LA; daughters and sons-in-law, Joan & Randy Friday of Willow, AK, Sandra & Mike Gobble of Springfield, IL, Mary Thielman of Douglasville, GA, Teresa & Don Powell of Athens, GA, Sharon Walsh of Cumming, GA, and Michele & John Celani of Lilburn, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Donna Porwoll of Minnesota, and Yvonne & John Ferche of Minnesota; 26 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at 12 p.m., from Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Dallas, GA, with Father Adrian Pleus officiating. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 6, 2009, from 5 p.m. until

8 p.m.
