Funeral Services for Rev. Leonard Lamar Beard, age 89, of Winston, Ga. formerly of Dallas, Ga. will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2009, 3:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Steve Flockhart and Rev. Jim Whittle will officiate.

Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.

 

Visitation for Rev. Beard will be Saturday, March 21, 2009, 6:00-9:00 and Sunday until 3:00 P.M.

 

Rev. Beard is survived by: Wife, Mrs. Dorothy Lindsey Beard of Winston, Ga.; Son, Mr. and Mrs. David (Suzanne) Beard of Goose Creek, SC.; Daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Mary) Ashlock of Winston, Ga.; Grandchildren, Richard Ashlock, Ryan Ashlock, Lindsey Beard, Kayla Beard and Allison Beard; Great Grandson, Richard Aaron Ashlock, Jr.; Nieces and Nephews.

 

Rev. Beard was preceded in death by: Parents; Mr. and Mrs. Angus (Mary Ann Powell) Beard; Brothers, Mr. Curtis Beard and Mr. Fred Beard; Sisters, Mrs. Pearl Gaskin and Mrs. Sallie Murphy.
