Mrs. Annie Lou Pickett age 91 of Dallas Georgia, passed away Saturday January 24, 2009 at Wellstar Paulding Nursing Center.

 

Mrs. Pickett was born on January 5, 1918 in Paulding County, Ga to her late parents Edwin Adolph Bell and Elizabeth Ava Hicks Bell. She was a member of New Hope First Baptist Church of Dallas. Mrs. Pickett belonged to the Eastern Star, Dallas Chapter and she helped her husband in his business for a number of years. In her spare time Mrs. Pickett loved to work in her yard and be with her grandchildren.

 

Mrs. Pickett is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law: Mike and Shelia Pickett of Dallas, Ga, Charles Pickett of Acworth, Ga; Daughter and son-in-law: Joyce and David Howard of Marietta, Ga: 5 Grandchildren: Karen and Greg Bell of Jefferson, Ga, Jane Pickett of Charlotte, NC, Alison and Karlton Moorer of Dallas, Ga, Valerie and Jaime Pace of Dallas, Ga and Mark D. Howard of Atlanta, Ga: 5 great grandchildren: Ethan and Ivy Bell, Darien, Kamden and Malia Moorer, Jonah and Malachi Pace. She had many Nieces and Nephews and many friends who will all miss her.

 

Mrs. Pickett is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years: James Malakai Pickett; Siblings: Earnest Bell and Ola Holland of Ga, Chester D. Bell and Ora Shirley of Al, Addie Bell and Hoke Matthews of Ga, Howard T. Bell and Gladys Walker of Al, Birlie Mae Bell and Robert Everett Craton of Ga, Miss Ruth Bell of Ga, Paul Eugene Bell and Manor Cole Roberts of Ga.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Pickett will be held at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home Chapel on Monday January 26, 2009 at 1:00pm with Rev. Powers officiating. Music will be provided by Jeff Eberhart. Interment will follow service at New Hope Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Pickett will remain at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Sunday January 25, 2009 from 5:00pm-9:00pm.

 

Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home Monday by 12:15, and they include: Mark Howard, Jaime Pace, Karlton Moorer, Ricky Hicks, Robert Craton and Eric Craton.

 

 

The Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home has charge of all the local arrangements for Mrs. Annie Lou Pickett.
