Mr. Billy Gene Penrod, age 78, of Dallas, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2009. He was born on May 29, 1930 in Dongola, IL., to the late Theodore Roosevelt Penrod and Hazel Doice Penrod. Mr. Penrod was a retired veteran from the United States Air Force and United States Army. He retired after 30 years of service as a Police Officer from the Atlanta Police Department.

 

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Robbie Penrod of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law, John William & Kerry Penrod of Dallas; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Carlton Allen of Griffin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ted & Jean Penrod of Avondale Estates, Jerry & Gloria Penrod of Dongola, IL; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy & C.J. Bradley of Cumming, GA; four grandchildren, Zachary Penrod, Joshua Penrod, Shane & Jill Butler and April Butler; four great-grandchildren, Haleigh Butler, Andrew Butler, Katelyn Pollette and Brian Pollette.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at 11 a.m., from Clark Funeral Home with Dr. Wilson Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 19, 2009, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
