Mrs. Beatrice Pierce Reed

Mrs. Beatrice Pierce Reed passed away on November 19, 2008 at the age of 91 in Austell, Ga. Mrs. Reed is survived by her granddaughter Mr. & Mrs. Stuart (Tara) Samples of Dallas, Ga. two great grandchildren Miss Meghan Samples and Master Nicholas Samples all of Dallas, Ga. Bea lived in Westport, N.Y. for most of her life until she moved to Georgia to be with her daugther, Mrs. Margot A. Reed, who passed away in April 2005. Mrs. Reed is also preceded in death by her husband Mr. Merrill Preston Reed and parents Mr. & Mrs. Claude Bertram (Bernadette Grenier) Pierce. Beatrice owned Bea's Beauty Shop on Main Street in Westport, N.Y. and was a hairdresser for 60 years. She was also very active on the Board of Elections, the Catholic Daughters, and a member of the American Legion. While living in Dallas, Bea was also a member of the Rosary Club at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church where she made rosaries to be sent to people abroad. Bea was an outgoing, fun loving woman who will be greatly missed. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday November 21, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. from the St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Westport, New York. RIP Ms. Bea...I enjoyed My time with Bea @ kimberly Assisted living. She was a delighful Lady and will be missed by all.
