Otis Odean Lang, Sr., age 87, of Dallas, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2008. Mr. Lang was born June 7, 1921, in Cartersville.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and worked for Simmons Mattress for 42 years. He was a member of the Yaarab Guard where he was a 32nd degree Mason, an Emeritus member of Masonic Lodge F & AM #399 in Forest Park, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 290, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Forest Park.

Survivors include his wife, Marvaree Fouts Lang; son & daughter-in-law, Dean & Lisa Lang of McDonough; daughter & son-in-law, Kathryn & Charles Knight of McDonough; step-daughter, Shirley & Vick Lewis of Dallas; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at 11:00am, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Tony Samples officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens with Masonic honors at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
