Clark Funeral Home Posted August 4, 2008 Report Share Posted August 4, 2008 Marvin F. Edgar, age 71, of Marietta, GA, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2008. He was born in Atlanta, on May 27, 1937, to the late Aaron Oscar Edgar and the late Nora Maybelle Edgar. Mr. Edgar was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U. S. Navy. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Chattahoochee Brick Company and Martin-Marietta Cement and was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Virginia Edgar of Marietta, GA; sons, Marvin Edgar and Joshua S. Edgar both of Dallas, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Kathy & Albert Hogan of Dallas, GA, Ginny & Richard Pitts of Mineral Bluff, GA, Lisa Edgar of Dallas, GA, Joan & Darren Camp of Dallas, GA, and Bonnie & Ken Mapp of Five Points, AL; sister, Linda Sullins of Rome, GA; uncle & aunt, Ben & Jackie Camp of Marietta, GA; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at 2:00pm, with Reverend David Camp officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
