Frances Lee (Clark) Pietschner, 85, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at the WellStar Tranquility Hospice in Austell.

 

She was born in Atlanta on April 11, 1923, the daughter of the late Thomas Watson Clark and Gladys Iva Austin. She married Paul William Pietschner on December 24, 1942 were married for almost 50 years prior to his death in 1992.

 

Frances was an avid gardener—she was very happy working in her yard and garden. She was a former substitute teacher at McEachern High School, a volunteer for the American Red Cross, and she and Paul enjoyed sailing.

 

She is survived by her son, Tom Pietschner, of Atlanta; grandson, Paul Pietschner, Atlanta; aunts, Mrs. Boyd (Willie Mae) Austin, Mrs. Lanier (Evolyn) Austin, and Mrs. Ray (Clarice Austin) Lee of Dallas; uncle, Paul Mobley of Cartersville; special cousin and friend Mrs. Claud (Marjorie Austin) Smith of Powder Springs; many other cousins and friends.

 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2008, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home in Dallas, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 until the service.

 

Reverend Tom Rogers will officiate, and Mayor Boyd Austin, Jr., will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow at Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to one's charity of choice.

 

Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mrs. Pietschner
