Clark Funeral Home Posted May 11, 2008 Report Share Posted May 11, 2008 Lawrence Mitchell Bailey, age 81, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2008. He was born in Sand Mountain, Alabama, on November 18, 1926, to the late Robert & Hester Bailey. Mr. Bailey was a World War II Veteran. He was of Church of God Faith and also attended Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Bailey retired after 30 years from the Postal Service. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Ellen Ray Bailey of Dallas, GA; son, Larry Bailey of Kennesaw, GA; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at 11:00am, from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Tim Walker and Rev. Steve Davis officiating. Interment will follow from the Kennesaw Memorial Park in Kennesaw, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
