Clark Funeral Home Posted March 28, 2008 Report Share Posted March 28, 2008 Willis Alexander, age 85, of Albany, GA, formerly of Paulding County, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2008. He was born to the late Robert & Mary Sims Alexander, on May 6, 1922, in Paulding County. A son, Tony Alexander, preceded him in death. Mr. Alexander was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He worked as a barber and was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Floy T. Alexander of Albany; son, Norman Alexander of Hiram; daughters, Mary Willene Alexander of Hiram, Larris Alexander of Hiram, Sharon Darlene Dobbs of Hiram, and Myranda Flemister of Powder Springs; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 31, 2008, at 1:00pm, from Sweet Home Baptist Church, with Elder Leonard Andrews and Reverend Dr. Jeffery Wimbush officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. Mr. Alexander will lie-in-state at the church from 12:00noon until the service time. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
