Clark Funeral Home Posted February 27, 2008 Report Share Posted February 27, 2008 James Clinton Grimes, age 80, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2008. He was born in Atlanta, April 6, 1927 and was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest Hubert Grimes & Evie Estelle Grimes. Mr. Grimes was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Woodstock. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Norma Faye Grimes; son, Bill Grimes of Hiram; daughter & son-in-law, Michelle Shamasneh & husband, Fareed of Hiram; brother & sister-in-law, Doyle Grimes & wife, Omia of Acworth; and sister, Williebelle Chambers of Winter Haven, FL. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008, at 3:00pm, from Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Roswell, with Reverend Jack Pilcher and Reverend Joe Condra officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Grimes will lie-in-state at the church on Saturday from 1:00pm until the service time. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday and Friday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
