Funeral Director Posted February 4, 2008 Report Share Posted February 4, 2008 Mr. Joel Lee York Sr., age 67 of Dallas, Georgia passed away Friday February 1, 2008 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. He was born to the late James Owen and Beatrice Lee Jackson York, in Bartow County Georgia March 6, 1940. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and faithfully seved his country during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents and Sister, Vivian Allen. Mr. York is survived by his Daughters: Gina York of Georgia and Susan and Jeremy Ughrin of Cartersville, Georgia. Son: Joel Lee York, Jr. of Lavonia, Georgia and 6 Grandchildren. Sisters: Barbara Joyce and Grady Guyton of Dallas, Georgia, Virginia and Billy Butterworth and Linda and Harold Bowman of Dallas, Georgia. Brothers: J.D. York of Temple, Georgia and Harry and Kay McCoy of Dallas, Georgia. Mr. York's family will receive friends on Sunday, February 3, 2008 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home. Services for Mr. York will be conducted on Monday, Feberuary 4, 2008 at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with the Bishop Grady Evett Guyton officiating. Interment will follow in the Paulding Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jeremy Ughrin, Greg York, Grady Guyton, Trey York, Daniel McCoy and Billy Butterworth.
