Mrs. Peggy Ruth Washington age 63 of Dallas passed away December 4, 2007 at Grady Hospital. She was born on November 29th to Oscar W. Cole and Hattie Thomason Cole.

Mrs. Washington was a Bank Manager, Assistant Vise President of Atlantic States Bank.

 

Services: 2:00 PM Friday, December 7, 2007 at the Dallas First Methodist church with

Rev. Steve Schofield officiating.

Interment: Dallas Memory Gardens

Visitation: Thursday, December 6th, from 4 until 9PM.

 

Survivors:

1 Daughter: Cindy and David Brown of Dallas, Georgia

2 Sons: Tim & Rhonda Washington of Summerville, S. C. and Jason Washington of

Acworth.

 

4 Grandchildren: Kevin Brown of Dallas, Georgia, Garrett Washington of Summerville,

S. C., Brooke Washington of Summerville, S. C., and Chase

Washington of Summerville, S. C.

 

3 Sisters: Lucille Johnson of Douglasville, Georgia, Mildred Thomason of Dallas,

Georgia and Mary Jane & John Mitchell of Carrollton, Georgia

 

2 Sisters-in-Law: Wynell Cole of Austell, Georgia and Charlotte Cole of Decatur,

Georgia

 

1 Brother: James & Brenda Cole of Hiram, Georgia.

 

Many nieces and nephews.

 

Mrs. Washington is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Lamar Washington, who

passed away September 13, 1993, two brothers G.W. Cole and Billy Cole and one sister

Edna Faye Moore.

She was one of the sweetest people I have ever known! Her husband was my bus driver growing up, and I babysat the children when they were little.
