Mrs. Ora Belle Shaw, age 92, of Kennesaw, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2004. She was born February 17, 1912 in Paulding Co. to the late Arthur J. and Fannie Pearson Grant. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She was a retired schoolteacher and a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Donald W. Shaw; sons and daughters-in-law, Doyle and Janet Shaw of Kennesaw and Dr. Terry and Nancy Shaw of Acworth; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jim “Tex” Farr of Dallas; a brother and sister-in-law, A.J. and Helen Grant of Dublin, Ga; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 12, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from Piney Grove Baptist Church with Rev. J.T. Hollingshead, Rev. Larry Davis and Rev. Hugh Parson officiating. Mrs. Shaw will lie in state at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the service time. The interment will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, Georgia. Clark Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
