Mrs. Laura Humphries Broome, age 63, of Rockmart, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2004. She was born October 24, 1940 in Atlanta to the late Benjamin and Ethel Humphries. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Mary Tillison of Zebulon, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Jackie Buttrum of Rockmart; Brothers and sisters-in-law, Wilbur and Teenia Humphries of Temple, Tommy and Linda Humphries of Austell and James and Doris Humphries of Smyrna; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram with Reverend Frank McLeod officiating. The interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park in Smyrna. The pallbearers are Danny Humphries, DeWayne Buttrum, Buddy Richardson, Tracy Brown, Darnell Humphries and Mike Wells. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram in charge of arrangements.
