Mr. Carroll Vessee Sargent, age 94, of Hiram, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2004. He was born April 15, 1909 in Gettysburg, South Dakota to the late Jean and Mary Alice Sargent. He was a retired Pharmacist and a member of Mt. Nebo Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 71 years, Lorraine C. Sargent; a son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Jo Ann Sargent of Dallas; Sisters, Lois Edinburn of Hollister, Missouri and Ardis Kennedy of Darlington, Pennsylvania; nephew, Dr. John Kennedy M.D. of Stone Mountain; Five grandchildren and Nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 8, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram with Pastor Joe Condra officiating. The interment will follow in Mt. Nebo Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The pallbearers are Kenneth Sargent, Cory Sargent, Kenny Sargent, Kyle Sargent, Ron Crist and Donnie Duncan. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram in charge of arrangements.
