Reba Lee Prater age 78, of Dallas, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2007, She was born January 6, 1929, in Chattanooga, Tn, daughter of the late Thurmon Hugo Black and Pauline Browder Black. She was preceded in death by husband Lewis Prater, son Stanley Prater, daughter Nancy Prater. She was employed by the IRS as a tax clerk, and a member of Walker’s Chapel in Dogtown, Al. She was known to her grandchildren as Grandma Alabama.

Survived by son and daughter in law, Robert and Teresa Prater , Dallas, Daughter Pamela Graham, Dallas, brother and sister in law, Edward and Jeanette Black, Alabama

Sister Peggy Bartlett, Arizona, Sister and brother in law, Miram and Willie Poole of Fife, Alabama. Seven grandchildren, Ten great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 15, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. (C.S.T) from Wilson Funeral Home in Ft. Payne, Alabama. The family will receive friends on Friday , June 15, 2007 from 11am till 1pm at Wilson Funeral Home, Ft. Payne, Alabama. Internment will follow in Walker’s Chapel.

Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, Ga, is in charge of arrangements.
