Mrs. Carrie Ruth Wood, age 79, of Rockmart

Mrs. Carrie Ruth Wood, age 79, of Rockmart passed away June 5, 2007 at her residence. She was born November 22, 1927 in Fulton County, the daughter of the late Thomas Eugene and Carrie Mae Marbut Wood. She was a homemaker and a member of Yorkville Baptist Church.

 

She is survived by her husband, George Wood of Rockmart; 3 Daughters; Yvonne Koon of Warner Robins, Ga., Yvette & Juan Meza of Rockmart, Denise Cedillo of Norcross, Ga.

11 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren

2 Sisters: Mamie Cochran of Oxford, Ga. and Evelyn Garland of Alpharetta,Ga.

 

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Carrie Mae Wood and a

grandson, Dusty.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 2PM, Thursday, June 7, 2007 at the Yorkville Baptist Church with Rev. L.A. Tapp officiating.. The body will lie-in-state at the church from 1PM until 2PM. Interment: Yorkville Baptist Church Memorial Garden.

 

Bubba Morreira, Stephen Morreira, Justin Morreira, William Weaver,

Preston Jeanis and Ronnie Manness will serve as pall bearers.

 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 from 4PM until 9PM and Thursday, June 7, 2007 from 9AM until leaving for the service.
