Mr. John (J.B.) Hicks, age 65, of Villa Rica

 

Mr. John (J.B.) Hicks, age 65, of Villa Rica passed away April 6, 2007 at his residence. He was born on December 17, 1941 in Paulding County, Georgia, son of the late Oko and Ola Choran Hicks. He worked on the Assemble Line at GM and was a member of the New Georgia Baptist Church. He was also a member of Bartlett Lodge #139 F&AM.

 

He is survived by his Wife: Allene Hicks of Villa Rica

1 Daughter: Charlene & Gary Bates of Villa Rica (New Georgia)

1 son: Frankie and Ann Hicks of Villa Rica (New Georgia)

7 Grandchildren: Dana Howard, Tasha Hicks, Kristy Hicks, Heather Bolt, Ashley Ingham, Bailey Butler & Courtney Butler and his only Great Grandson: A.J. Howard

3 Brothers: Herman & Jane Hicks of Dallas ,Denford & Charlotte Hicks of Dallas and

Mac & Barbara Hicks of Dallas; 2 Sisters: Allene & M.C. Wilson of Paulding County and

Georgie Harper of Bartow County

 

In addition to his father, Oko Hicks who passed away in 1977 and his mother, Ola Hicks who passed away in 1996 he was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Hicks who passed away in 1971.

 

Funeral Services were held at 2PM, Tuesday, April 10, 2007 in the Chapel of Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Williams, & Rev. Jerry Hollis officiating. Special Music by Becky Bearden

Interment followed in Melrose Hill Memorial Park.

 

Terry Hicks, Gary Hicks, Larry Hicks, Dwayne Hicks, Dwayne Pace, Chris Pace served as pall

bearers.
