Funeral Director Posted May 24, 2007 Report Share Posted May 24, 2007 Mrs. Louise Tibbitts Buford, age 89, of Dallas Mrs. Louise Tibbitts Buford, age 89, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on April 18, 2007 at the Wellstar Paulding Nursing Home. She was born April 19, 1918 in Cobb County, however, she spent most of her adult life in Dallas. She was the oldest living member of the County Line United Methodist Church. She served as the local mission chair person, worked with the food pantry and was a member of the UMW. Louise was the Task Force Woman of the Year in 1987 for the Cobb EMC. She spent many years working for the VFW in Cobb County for fund raising and special events. Her genuine love of the Lord, her church, family and friends and her positive attitude made her a joy to know. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lee Buford and her parents, John Elbert and Cora Prewett Tibbitts. Survivors inclede three nieces; Frances Kemp, Donna Lee and Jeanne Swany, all of Marietta. Funeral Services were held Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 2PM from Eberhart Funeral Home with Reverend John Moore officiating. Music was rendered by Kathy Owen and Patti Harris. Interment followed in Crossroad Cemetery. The family requests that contributions be made to the County Line United Methodist Church at 1183 county Line Road, Acworth, Georgia 30101.
