Sammy Strickland, age 51, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2007, in Rochester, Minnesota. He was born in Paulding

County, January 24, 1956, to J. D. Strickland and the late Edith Mae Strickland. Mr. Strickland was a carpenter.

Survivors include his father, J. D. Strickland of Dallas, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Marie & Bobby Weaver, Woodland, AL, formerly of Dallas, GA; six nieces; and three great-nephews.

Funeral services will held on Thursday, April 19, 2007, at 11:00am, from Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Barfield and Reverend Ricky Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. Harold Myers, Sam Brinkley, Ricky Clayton, Tony Clayton, Adam Clayton and Chad King will serve as pallbearers, with Charlie Strickland and James Hale serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, from 2:00pm until 8:00pm.
