Gwendolyn Denise Aldrich, age 57, of Douglasville, GA (Paulding County), passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017. She was born on February 2, 1960, in Newark, NJ, and was preceded in death by her mother, Flora Ann Green, and brother, George Green. Mrs. Aldrich worked at Nebo Elementary School as a teacher and previously taught in New Jersey, and was a member of First Assembly of God in Dallas, GA. She enjoyed working with children and was an active church member.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Richard Aldrich; daughter, Tabitha Ann Aldrich of Douglasville, GA; father, Lawrence Green of Douglasville, GA; brother, Gregory & Julia Green of Villa, Rica, GA, and Glen Green of New Jersey; sister, Gywanna & Paul Thomas of Newark, NJ; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at 3 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Brad Fussell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 17, 2017, from 2 PM until 3 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, at www.stjude.org, to help end childhood cancer.
