Herbert W. “Sam” Chambers, age 75 of Dallas, GA passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016. He was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Dawsonville, GA and a retired Steel Worker with Atlantic Steel. Mr. Chambers was preceded in death by his parents; Carlton Hubert and Sadie Mae Peeples Chambers. He loved to fish, hunt and tend his garden.

He is survived by his wife; Dale Slate Chambers of Dallas, GA; daughter, Carla Chambers Prater of Dallas, GA; son, Matthew Chambers of Dallas, GA and step-son; Neal and Kelly Wilson of Powder Springs, GA; grandchildren, Seth and Aurora Kirby, Cody Kirby, Logan Prater, Kaley and Bret Barron, Tyler and Marissa Wilson and Alyssa Wilson; great grandchildren, Mason Kirby, Nadia Kirby, Brooklyn Barron, Bree Wilson and Lexie Wilson.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
