Juanita McCallie Southerland, age 79, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015. Mrs. Southerland was born on September 13, 1935, in Dallas, GA, to the late Fred Shelton & Pearl Littlefield Shelton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fermon Southerland; daughter, Regina McCallie; and brother, Lamar Shelton. Mrs. Southerland was a homemaker and a member of McPherson Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include sons & daughters-in-law, Wayne & Carol McCallie of Dallas, GA, Michael & Tammie McCallie of Temple, GA, Eugene & Regina McCallie of Hiram, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Kathy & David Harrell of Douglasville, GA, Shirley & Mike Thurmond of Dallas, GA, Clarissa & Donnie Smith of Dallas, GA; sister, Peggy Cole of Orange, TX; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Southerland will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at 3:00 PM from Clark Funeral Home, with grandsons, Donnie Smith, Jr. & Joe Thurmond officiating. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be, Ryan Jordan, Darnell Romolus, Charley McCallie, Kaleb Harris, Jarred McCallie, & J.D. Clancy. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Blake Darnell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
