Mrs. Cynthia Cook Thompson, age 83, of Hiram, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2004. She was born on June 9, 1921 in Rossville, GA to the late Olin and Ola Cook. She was a homemaker and a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, John T. (Tommy) Thompson III and his wife Pat of Powder Springs; a sister, Alice Hedrick of Happy Valley, GA; grandchildren, John T. Thompson IV and Patrick D. Thompson; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 1, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. from Clark Funeral Home with Reverend John T. Thompson IV and Reverend Patrick D. Thompson officiating. The interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens with J. T. Thompson IV, Patrick D. Thompson, Jimmy Daniel, Homer Muse, Benny Strickland and John Rakestraw serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram in charge of arrangements.
