Personally this means of addressing me is irritating . I am either Mr.surname or Jerry. Sorry it is just one of my many idiosyncrasies.

I go to Edmunds, decide what car and add-ons. See edmunds suggested price. Send e-mails to dealerships asking for out-the-door cost. Those e-mail answers that do not include price are trashed. Ones with prices, I go to lots and if they change their price quoted even $1, I turn and walk away. You would be surprised how fast some of them call you back. As far as age goes, I am 71

One day in 2005,I drove into a local car lot in my 9 year old truck after working in my yard most of the day. a bunch of the salespeople were having a bull session by the bldg as I walked the lot. Finally a salesperson came out of the bldg and asked "anything you interestd in". I was looking at the new Ford 500 which my wife had seen earlier.. A hour and a half later,he had a check in his hand and I drove home and handed the keys to my wife. Since then I have bought 2 more new cars from this man in the same manner.

Now this includes your neighbor who owns a junkyard, started a trash disposal business or a small service business , etc. who is worth a million plus. It was a paid off F150 p/u! Since this person is a trustee of Friends University, I assumed they were a graduate looked it up. It is located in several Kansas cities. They are described as a non-denominational christian university. I was looking under US news and World report ranking of colleges. More or less to see if maybe the spelling was intentional as suggested or due to ignorance. They did not have a ranking but a "RNP" by their name??. Was unable to find definition for it.

The last Chevy truck I owned was 72 C10 with a 402 big block engine. Needed the front end aligned every 5/6 months and carb rebuilt yearly. Since then I have owned 4 F150s and 1 F250. All the F150s got traded or sold with no less than 185K with maybe 1 or 2 starters and water pumps replaced total. Stopped buying F150s when ford stopped using the 4.9L engine. You couldn't damage that engine even with a charge of C4. I still have aF250 Power Stroke which I will drive until the wheels fall off or I kick the bucket, whichever comes first.

If they only would instead of trying to be their child's friend and afraid of hurting their feelings!

About the only thing I did was talk to my dog. Best stress release there was. After 20 years of driving in Metro area fixing computer terminals, listening to how much business was lost and then driving home in that traffic. I would get home, kiss the wife,who was fixing dinner, crab some ice tea and sit on the back porch steps. Truck (aussie)and later Trouble (aussie) would come over, lay by me and just let me talk.
