His room has TOO much stuff. I suggest a binge cleaning. A bed, clothes, and a few books. I know he is only 6, but if he is breaking expensive toys..why allow him to have any. My oldest has had his room stripped several times. About every 3-4 months, he has earned it back, just in time to strip it again. You have me laughing! Kids have been expelled for less "serious" offenses, than these 25 kids. So why are the lives of these 25 more important than the other kids I am bitching (standing up) for? And HELL YES, I am thrilled that the good ole boy system couldn't sweep this under the rug! Thanks for all the above info...BUT, you stated there is an appeals process to major offenses. I read the board policy. Only after a tribunal can an appeal take place. So, you misquoted the board policy. That is the issue I have. I appericate the fact you will come on and post, but I hope you research and give correct information. It was my impression appeals happen AFTER punishment was given...after a tribunal? So, now there appeals before a principal punishes a child? That's where I call BS! I would say yes all should be punished the same. Zero tolerance, right? The school district should follow their own handbook and let the "professionals" (police) sort out the legal charges.
