That's about how it was where I was hunting this past Monday. And I was literally up a tree! THIS southerner wasn't made for that. I think that I was made for the tropics. I can handle heat so much better than cold!

I was kidding about the bj's -- especially after you had said this: ["works for me...maybe not so much for him ...but he will get over it "] Oh, well, by the end of the night you'll have him with his hands full!

Not me! You know why? I have no problem with socialism. It's the only way in the future when the population begins to outweigh our ability to control it through current strategies.

Bankrupt???? Doctors - GP's - are clearing a half million a year! Here's the reason that doctors don't want medicaid - they do make 8 dollars more on regular patients, but if you think that they are anywhere near their margin -- That's ridiculous!! The reason that they don't want to take Medicare is that their waiting rooms are full of patients. They can make that extra 8 bucks per patient and tack that onto their bottom line. That's how they're "losing" 8 bucks. That person on medicare is using time that a person not on medicare could be paying 8 more bucks for! Nevermind the fact that doctor

Did or does? I worked for a company a long time ago that did. But not anymore, I'm sure. Times have changed. Maybe a really small company that HAS to retain its employees and is in a unique position to include premiums as part of the compensation package - It's possible. It's also possible with the upper eschelon of a mega corporation that have multi-million dollar bonuses for top management. They're probably covered, as well.

Mr. Dis, if you take a look at a healthcare card, you'll see that it's underwritten by Blue Cross/Blue Shield or another common provider. If you look at your paystub, it will itemize your deductions, one of which is the amount that you pay for your healthcare. The company's part in the deal is that they co-op to get a lower rate. It's not part of your compensation plan, unless they're paying your premium for you. You sign up for the type of insurance and the amount you want taken out of your paycheck when you're hired and you can change it during open enrollment. I don't know of any company

Touch me, pop me - I'm good with any of that! The "hip pain" -- is this a pain in the hip? Or a pain in the ass? For the latter -- Asspirin.

You know, socialism, where someone who has (in this case, good health) systematically foots the bill the one who doesn't have (good health).. If you believed in free enterprise, you'd carry your own weight - whatever that means. You do believe in socialism when it works to your advantage. Everyone paid into the system, but you're taking out to a greater degree than you put into it! People pay more in taxes because doctors order tests to diagnose a cold (for example) when they already know that it's a cold. But they can "upsell" their patients and pad the bill. Also, it's the patients, who go
-
Billing is computerized. Scan and send. It takes no time at all to process the bill. BS on the error/charged with fraud thing, unless a guy comes in with a cold and medicare gets charges ten thousand dollars for surgery that the guy didn't have (which would be fraud). Other than that, it's done electronically, with scan codes. You're right about payment from the government being late. It could take as much as a month before getting paid. That's probably quicker than if you send a patient the bill, though. So the doctor is not out of pocket any money on services, except for personnel and re
-
So you're depending on the American taxpayer to help you foot the bill. Sounds like socialism to me! You should outright reject medicare on the principle alone! Tricare, too, because you're receiving more than you're putting into the system.
-
I'd have to call BS on that! How could the doctor lose money by providing a service and being reimbursed for the service? I'm guessing that the doctor knows what his average income from a patient is. Let's say that it's $280. He only gets reimbursed $272 for the Medicare patients. THAT'S how it costs him eight dollars. But he (or you) makes it sound like the doctor doesn't get reimbursed anything and has to give the patient, or Medicare, $8.

Yeah, but people also want to know HOW he died! It would be helpful to know if he died of food poisoning! But to answer DGITW's question - EVERYBODY wants to know what happened! It just seems rude to ask.

I think that one of the benefits of paid membership (i.e. Member + Black) is that you get additional space for posting photos, etc. FYI, the file should say .jpg not .bmp (bitmaps are larger files). You should be able to change them on your computer using Windows Picture Manager or a similar program. The pictures are fantastic, by the way! -
Great Idea for a Holiday Gift!

Wow! Wal-Mart DOES sell everything!!

The Groupon deal of the day is a tour of Turner Field for $10 each. They get to go into the dugouts and get a little history on the stadium and they leave with a Braves cap. All for 10 bucks. Seems like a good family outing!

Exactly!!! Why he gets ANY stage time or has a recording contratct is beyond me! It's a little troubling to consider that music industry executives have the power to determine who we get to hear in popular music and that they found value in Kanye West. I would listen all day to Slim Whitman's "Indian Love Call" before subjecting myself again to the off-pitch caterwauling of Kanye West! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndChcyOAEcs

But he doesn't have any talent, except to show his backside in public. The sideshow IS the entertainment value of Kanye West.
