  1. Big Lots has both kinds- the round ones that hold about 20 ornaments and the tubs with dividers.
  2. I remember the snow on Christmas in 1993 because I was in the hospital with my son who had been born on November 26, had surgery at Scottish Rite and then was sent back to Kennestone (Wellstar) in time for Christmas. My husband was driving from Dallas with a video recorder filming the snow as he was driving! He's one safe driver!
  3. Come through my chimney I'll show you a nutcracker!!! My daughter wants to go find Antoine and hang out with him for her 21st birthday!
  4. Same here! I love "Halleluiah" and "Do you hear what I hear"
  5. I had them on my Lexus and my Infiniti and I know they were great, but I'm just wondering about the aftermarket, if they are as good. I think my new car has them, too. I guess I just don't think about it anymore, but since he has an older car it is hard to see with the lights he has.
  6. Anybody have the after market lights? If so, where did you get them, what price range, and do you like them better? Also, can you tell a difference in the way they light up the road? What color do you have? Thanks!
  7. We had our Christmas party at my house with my side of the family---47 people. We had appetizer food- Chicken fingers, boiled shrimp, pigs in a blanket, sausage balls, honey baked ham in Hawaiian rolls, spinach dip, corn dip, chicken salad, fruit bowl, veggie tray, potato chips and onion dip, and the desserts were cheese cake bites-4 different flavors, brownie bites, peanut butter cookies with hersheys kisses on top, and I know I am forgetting a lot of what we had. we also had lots of beer, shooters, tea, and soft drinks WE had a blast!
  8. Yep, we went to a Greek Restaurant in Florida and got the salad with potato salad in it and we thought they had poured left overs in the salad. We started to send it back and complain, then we read the menu and it said that it comes with a scoop of potato salad in it. We would have really been embarassed if we had sent it back!
  9. Husband had a cup of gumbo and the fried shrimp platter. I had the Garlicky Shrimp and Blackeyed Peas. Son had the alligator po boy. The owner came around and gave us all a cup of the lobster bisque. Then we had beignets for dessert. Everything was excellent! Tomorrow they are having crawfish etoufee. I aim to go back tomorrow for some of that!
  10. Our dinner table talk is usually about male parts and boogers! The male parts come from our last name having Dick in it!
  11. I like that one, but I like the one with grapes and nuts better. I think it might have tarragon, also.
  12. Okay, everybody! I need a great chicken salad recipe with grapes, nuts and either celery or celery seed. If you have had the chicken salad at Ingle's with these ingredients that's what I'm looking for. The last time I got it at Ingle's I think it had been there for a while and wasn't as good as when Ingle's at Nebo Road first opened. So, now I want to make my own for a Christmas party! Please post your great recipes!!
  13. I looked at the menu at The Olive Tree and everything sounds good. I always have trouble deciding what to eat at a new restaurant. If you have eaten there-what do you like?
  14. Was that here in Georgia? My husband owned a business here for 18 years and had employees and he says he has never heard of this, but my brother said that it is the law here now. I would like to see it in writing, but I have googled everything I can think of and can't find it.
  15. If you are scheduled to work say 5 hours but work gets slow and your boss sends you home after 2 hours, is there a law that says they have to pay you for at least 4 hours? I googled and can't find the answer.
  16. some recipes call for butter and vanilla. Some just call for chex mix, chocolate, peanut butter and powdered sugar. If you make it do you use butter and vanilla or just the basics and which do you like best? .
  17. Bacchanalia sounds divine, but my husband is a meat and potatoes guy so I don't think he would enjoy it as much as I would. But, I have to ask-- have you had the steak tartare? I don't even think I could bring myself to eat it. Strip is okay, but I have read good reviews on Twelve so we might try that.
  18. I want to go to Atlantic Station for dinner and just to walk around. We've been to Twist and Shout and they are both pretty good, but wanted to try something new. Any ideas???
  19. I am thankful that God is always true to His word!! We had some very trying times the last 2 or 3 years with finances. We lost some of our possessions, but we always had food to eat, we got to keep our house, and we kept lots of good friends and family who helped us through!! I pray that God blesses each and every one of you and just know that even at your lowest point you can always trust that God will be there and keep His promises.
  20. I saw where Golden Corral is going to be open. I have never eaten there, just saw the sign.
