  1. I have a Bose cd player/radio. But they are expensive....I paid $400 or $500. And I have the adapter to play your ipod with it. I will sell it for $300. They are like this Bose
  2. I get stopped every time. I have a titanium hip and ask to be body scanned to avoid the pat downs. But 25-30% of the time the body scanners are down. I've been told that I can "demand" that they body scan, but then I have to wait.......or get back in line and go to another area that has them open. And one trip this past September, they held me for 15 minutes thinking there was "something suspicious" in my purse. It was a manicure kit....one of those little zip up cases with nail file, nail clippers, etc. My best friend stood there while they emptied my purse and said, "I have the exact s
  3. The one time I booked six months in advance............to Pensacola..............the BP oil spill caused me to cancel and was very irritating. I generally prefer to wait until closer to the time I wish to go and see what is available. Got some great deals the past two years in Ft Walton and Tybee just a few weeks out.
  4. I don't know if they will help with your condition, but I have found some great pumps. Cole Haan makes heels with Nike Air technology. My favorites are very classy looking. Look up Cole Haan Carma. They are expensive, but I get most of mine at huge discounts online.
  5. I had a neighbor who asked if she could have all the coupons out of my Sunday paper ......each week. I told her "Sure. Come on over. I'll leave them on the porch each week after I read the paper." She then asked me if I would bring them to her. Yup. I said, "No. I'm just as busy as you." Do you know she was too lazy to walk across the street to get them............ I am not an enabler. Oh.........and some of the things on your list/ Kinda scare me
  6. I started a reply on this earlier today and had to delete it. I was so livid. People, this is one of the main reasons why our country is trillions in debt. The guy is working....getting cash under the table. And you are okay with him telling Social Security that he is too disabled to work? So...he gets money and he/she/the kids get money from US, the taxpayers while he continues to work? I guess it's all good as long as she gets the money???? This is not an isolated case. I see far too many people who start getting a govt check for unemployment, disability, ........something they do
  7. I once wrote "100 Reasons I Love You" for my husband. Maybe 25 years ago. He still has it.
  8. Not to mention the holes in the brain.
  9. Wow. Thanks to all of you....my friends. Glassdogs, give me a call tomorrow. I will be happy to discuss your concerns. www.anddrum.com 770-505-0370
  10. I think it's audacious.....but I go to WestRidge.....Pastor Brian & gang wrote the book on audacious. Christians do tend to get judgemental with each other, but we need to understand, churches like New Season & WestRidge are not trying to grow by getting Christians from other churches to move. They are seeking to reach out to those who are not involved somewhere else....who might not be comfortable in a more formal church and those who have possibly been hurt. I've heard it said that the Army of God is the only one who shoots it's own wounded--although knowing human nature .....yo
  11. The grocery stores charge the same tax for items. Publix may just not separate them on the receipt. Most food items are exempt from state tax, but not local. Non-food are taxed the full 7%. (And what is considered "food" vs "nonfood" is determined by the state....If your interested, the GA Dept of Revenue has pages of explanation on it.)
  12. To Johnny J's family: I too met your JJ on several occassions...mostly related to pcom. He was kind, sweet and humble every time. I hope you can hold his hand and know that he lived and loved well. Prayers and hugs to you, Johnny.
  13. Actually, it would go on Line 20 -Estimated taxes and Form IT-560. But I doubt they will care.
  14. There is bloat in every single thing the federal government is involved in. No doubt about it. Feds cause much of it due to a million regulations...but in the end, it is a phylisophical debate. For some of us, the primary role of the feds should be national defense--not education, welfare or other social issues. These matters could be much more efficiently managed at the state or local level.
  15. You got a house in Florida????
  16. My questions? What have you learned? About yourself....about "power"? What will be different for you this time?
  17. My experience with p.com has been overwhelmingly positive. I have had great response to the advertising, but I do believe the repeat business will come from satisfaction with your work. When people see an ad and take a chance on you and are not happy with the quality or if you don't deliver as advertised, no amount of advertising will bring them back. On the other hand, if you deliver as promised or even go above and beyond expectations, you will have a customer for years to come. And they may even get on p.com and sing your praises.
  18. I doubt you are correct. It is not a very small exception. I see it frequently and am disgusted that the federal govt doesn't get it. They cannot manage and control from their perch. If you spent the hours in communication with the IRS, SS, etc, and saw the "holes" in the system, you too would be disgusted.....or you would figure you might as well join the bunch smart enough to get something for nothing.
  19. Of course it's widening. People need to keep their "reported" income low in order to keep getting all the government benefits they are getting. It won't do to get a job if I'm gonna lose the food stamps, welfare, unemployment, disability (that I've been collecting for five years even though I really could work), etc. From John Adams: Property is surely a right of mankind as really as liberty. Perhaps, at first, prejudice, habit, shame or fear, principle or religion, would restrain the poor from attacking the rich, and the idle from usurping on the industrious; but the time would n
