Have you lost your mind???? Sorry. WE HAVE A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS! WHAT DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND??? NOT FOR HUNTING....NOT FOR RECREATION...FOR PROTECTION AGAINST A CORRUPT GOVERNMENT. You are insane to think that our federal govt that can't balance a budget should have this information. Geez Laurie, they can't do anything without corrupting it.

You know I like you Surepip, but were you drinking when you typed this???? Gingrey did NOT make any statement of any kind that a woman cannot get pregnant if raped. In fact, he saidthe opposite-- it can happen. The stress, panic, shock of being raped might prevent ovulation, but it's not going to prevent pregnancy if a woman has already ovulated. And we are discussing our country's laws and reasons for them.....not the rest of the world. Whether one supports aboortzion, abhors it or wishes the government would mind their own business, the fact remains, the vast majority of aboortzions per

Always mustard! Never mayo! Mustard, ketchup, onions, pickles. Lettuce & tomato if available. And I LOVE onion rings on my burger.

Me too, Laurie! I will give my cell number to whom I wish to have it!

Thank you honey! I know exactly where that is! It must be right next to New Season's Church. And thank you too, Blah Blah.

I think Gingrey has always been an advocate for women and some are being unfair. Our entire society has become quick to prosecute, persecute and insult any and everyone who has an independent thought. Geez. I won't defend the phrase "legitimate rape". There is no such thing. I think the guy was probably not using the word he meant to use. Let's be honest. If a woman is raped and goes to the police, the hospital or calls 911 or a rape crisis hotline, she is going to be immediately treated to prevent a pregnancy....along with potential STDs. The dilemma stems from those who come along at

I'd be mean enough to hide veggies in the dishes. I used to do it to my kids all the time. I'd make vegetable beef soup with V8 juice and put broccoli, cauliflower, etc in the food processor and get it so small they didn't know it was in there. Now that they are grown, my kids love almost all veggies. My 21 y/o son will stop at the farmers market and buy tomatoes and peppers and bring them home and slice them up and eat them on his own. If you made some really healthy and tasty meals with vegetables, Dad might try it and find he does like it. While LPPT has a point about some people and

I read today that the first 1040s would not be accepted until Jan 30. The article did not mention 1040-EZ, but gave the impression that no returns would be processed until Jan 30. It did say that it would not do any good to file a paper return.....efile would still be faster because they wouldn't even process paper returns until the same date. Gonna be a fun tax season. Get your marathon shoes on!

I think the most common reason for the difference is the cash vs accrual accounting. You may get paid Jan 4th for a two week pay period. Part of it was 2012. Part of it is 2013. The pay stub will show Jan 4 to Jan 3. The W-2 will show Jan 1 - Dec 31. Makes my head hurt....and I'm a CPA, but I always tell people we can't do your tax returns with a checkstub. This is why.

Last time I had the flu? 1989. Last time I had the vaccine? Never. I will build up my immune system. You can keep your shots.

I have the four dogs. And I love when my son's friends stay the night............anywhere from three to six pairs of hunting/cowboy boots on the porch........one of them wears a SIZE 18! And there is usually that many pickup trucks parked around the house. I feed 'em good when they are here. They all call me "mama".

There was one in Talapoosa yesterday. I think a lot of people were at it. My husband, son and all their friends went yesterday.

"No problem" irritates me. I much prefer "You're welcome"....or even better...."It was my pleasure." I get especially negative vibes when the person says "no problem" and doesn't look me in the eye. The two actions seem to go together and they seem to be more common among the younger (under 35) generation. And yeah, the tips are bigger when I don't get negative vibes. I realize you said you are in customer service and most likely via the phone? So eye contact may not be a factor, but since you asked..........

I haven't needed to shoot them yet, but the packs of coyotes that are running all over my property would like very much if I had to stop and reload a bullet between every shot. If multiple armed thieves decided my out of the way home looked inviting, I would not want to have to stop and reload between each shot while they are shooting away. I just had this conversation on FB last night. An AR-15 semi-automatic is a far cry from say, an AK-47. With an automatic, you simply hold the trigger down and the bullets will fly until empty. With a semi automatic, the trigger will only fire one bull -
As to containing the suspect between two doors.....what if students or teachers are locked in with him? If someone wants to do this, they will work around the controls put in place. Most of these killers don't just go off in the heat of the moment. They have some level of thought and planning prior to the actual killing.

When my daughter was killed, her biological father didn't know until my husband called him. Her father had left when she was a year old and my husband came along a year later. Her bio-dad was not her "Daddy" and anytime she listed family information, she listed us.....not bio-dad. Now....bio-dad threw a fit and threatened all kinds of legal action on her employer for not notifying him, but he had no basis. She did not have him down as family and her last name was the same as ours. They had no reason to even suspect my husband was not her father. And I was attending a CPE seminar Fri

Doesn't bother me. I have a business. It's my business. I give discounts to whom I choose. It doesn't mean I charge you more.......it means I make less profit. Which I don't have to pay TAX on the profit I didn't make. A business can limit the free stuff if and when they choose. I would rather be giving free food to cops who are WORKING than the millions of free loaders in this country who are getting many, many freebies by NOT WORKING. Breathe.....breathe........gonna go find my happy place now.- 96 replies
