I'd be mean enough to hide veggies in the dishes. I used to do it to my kids all the time. I'd make vegetable beef soup with V8 juice and put broccoli, cauliflower, etc in the food processor and get it so small they didn't know it was in there. I read today that the first 1040s would not be accepted until Jan 30. The article did not mention 1040-EZ, but gave the impression that no returns would be processed until Jan 30. It did say that it would not do any good to file a paper return.....efile would still be faster because they wouldn't even process paper returns until the same date. Gonna be a fun tax season. I think the most common reason for the difference is the cash vs accrual accounting. You may get paid Jan 4th for a two week pay period. Part of it was 2012. Part of it is 2013. Doesn't bother me. I have a business. It's my business. I give discounts to whom I choose. It doesn't mean I charge you more.......it means I make less profit.
