Book: My Body Is Killing Me; Autoimmune Disease
bluebonnet replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I sympathize with many who feel as you do. I have a brother-in-law who was almost killed in a motorcycle wreck (he was a cop who was hit by a drunk driver). It crushed his pelvis, almost ripped off his leg, cracked his spine and head. He is totally and permanently disabled and suffers horrible migraines that put him in the hospital. There is no amount of "natural" anything that will control his pain. The nerves are permanently damaged. But our culture tends to offer the pill first instead of trying to find the cause of the pain. For a lot of us, we were dutifully following doctors -

:clapping: What! Control diabetes without the docs and drugs??? How are they gonna make their millions??? My husband does the same. In fact, it was his encounter with a diabetes diagnosis 10 years ago that led to all my research and opened my eyes to the control the pharma/insurance/medical community has over us. Often our insurance won't pay for natural, bio-identical treatments that are far safer than drugs. Why? Because "they haven't been tested with double blind million dollar studies." Why haven't they been tested? "Because the pharmacuetical companies are most often the -
The WestRidge Trunk or Treat was last night. Sorry.

:clapping: I couldn't agree more! People will spend hundreds of dollars on co-pays and Rxs, but won't go to someone who is outside the pharma/medical conglomerate that insurance covers. I probably spend less than $1000 a year on medical care....it's all natural and bio-identical, and no, my insurance won't pay for most of it. But I feel amazing and know I am on the right path for me. No brain fog, no PMS, no hot flashes, no digestive problems, no anything negative. I thank God I found this path. -
The western wear stores still carry 100% cotton Wranglers and other brands. I usually go to High Plains over on Cobb Pkwy in Marietta....it's on the corner of the north 120 loop and 41.

Not judging any particular meeting....or even the person. I have never met him. Just me thinking. I would feel entitled to my privacy and space even if I was famous. In fact, I don't have a desire for fame....my privacy is too valuable. And yes, public figures do automatically give up some "right" to privacy, but these days, the cost is high. Cameras, stalkers and paparazzi everywhere for "celebrities".

SO good to hear! Thank you again for giving her a chance.....Skip & Sandy And I bet those gorgeous little girls get their way with Daddy.

How's the puppy? Did the girls decide to name her Sandy? Beautiful pic by the way!

The shock of losing a child affects the entire mind, body, spirit. I ended up with avascular necrosis in my hip joint and had to have a hip replacement after losing my daughter. I think the shock attacks the weakest part of the body. My pain started six weeks after my daughter's death. I totally understand the physical, spiritual and emotional effects of losing your son. Blessings and hugs to you!

Huge hugs to you. I lost a daughter six years ago. You know that I know your pain. Love to you.

:clapping: :clapping: Or followed the speed limit....or just drove to the hospital with the cop following. Probably what I would have done if I got myself in that situation and was truly concerned about the life of the person with me. I would have been willing to suffer the consequences under those circumstances. Knowing this man wasn't even home and drove home to get his wife instead of calling an ambulance does change the whole view doesn't it?

May I add, the American Dream is not really a dream for many....it is an expectation inherited from parents, friends, etc. People need to really consider what their own dream may be. I am the first on my father's side of the family to get a degree. I didn't really care about having a degree, but I wanted to be a CPA and had to have an Accounting degree in order to sit for the exam. Okay. I didn't even really know if I wanted to be a CPA, But I wanted to sit for the exam. I needed to know I could pass it. It is a two day/four part test that somewhere around only 10% pass. And I did!

That's what I was thinking. Call your RE agent JR! He can leap tall buildings.

Even better.......take your favorite to a good photographer and have him/her blow it up and put it on canvas. I've got a friend doing this and the finished product is amazing. I am going to do this for Christmas gifts for my girlfriends and family.

AGREED! Basketball is the DEBIL! Now I may be the only person in Georgia who was happy last night. Had to work late and figured I had missed the game. Being a Texas girl, I am so excited about the Rangers and was thrilled when I came home at 8:45 last night and got to watch the extra innings and my RANGERS WIN! One more and they will be in the World Series! Woot!

I guess my family is the odd one. With three kids over the past 29 years....and the youngest about to turn 20, not one of my kids ever tested positive for strep....ever. Until last year. My then 18 year old son was sick and the dr did a strep test on him. Low and behold, he actually tested positive. My girls never did. I always thought it was a waste of time/money since we never had it.

Carol, haven't done a short sale, but recently had to renew the loan on a commercial building. BB&T was very helpful and offered a much better deal than who we were with......(of course, the fact that the bank we were with happened to be taken over by FDIC the month we needed to renew, didn't help matters any. Apparently when FDIC comes in, they aren't interested in loaning money.) I can find out if the person at BB&T who worked with us is involved with short sales....or can offer an help if you like. I'll get you her name tomorrow if you are interested.

Laurie, does the shoe in your pic have a brand name, model number, manafacturer? Anything? I bought some great shoes at Galyans several years ago. Decided I wanted to buy more when I wore them out. By that time I couldn't find them anywhere, but googled the brand and style name and found three pair on ebay. I'll help you look if you can provide any info.

Dr Shirley at Distinctive Dentistry is great with kids. I think they would love it there. As to the braces, I agree with Subby. Is there an obvious need? We were also told my daughter needed braces when she was that age. My husband said "no way". She is now 23 and could be a "smile model". Her teeth and smile are beautiful.

Actually I was dancing in the cafeteria......was up there around noon today to help cook and feed the boys. I was head dish washer. My dogs was tired but I loved every minute
