  1. Breakfast in bed, and stayed there reading a book until 2:30. Lots of flowers and presents, then dinner at my sisters house. Crab legs, beef wellington, rice with shripm, potatoes and lots of dessert!
  2. LR, you are so sweet! Mrs Howard, I was just thinking about you and your precious baby yesterday. Wishing you a wonderful mothers day, and a lifetime of happiness and love with your new baby! Post some pics soon!
  3. Wow....good info. I will pass it on!
  4. That's what I do. Run a load of white towels with a lot of bleach. Works for me!
  5. So sad. My heart is broken for this family. I can't begin to imagine their pain. Prayers going up for the family now.
  6. Is it a front loader? They are notorious for that!

Yikes! Outside, jumping rope....in the summer? Sounds hot. Can you pm how much you can spend and I will see if I can help you out?

As a working parent, I prefer evenings....

    Holy Cow!

My father just called me. He got invited to Rome for a private audience with THE POPE!! I am SO jealous!!
  10. My husband was a regional manager for Goodwill of Ny and NJ, and it was not uncommon to find things like that in coat pockets. One of his stores found a diamond ring valued at over $20,000 and two paintings valued at over $15,000 each. We even bought 2 cars from Goodwill that were donated....and they lasted for years!

My daughter would be interested. She is 10!
  12. We used Ultra also. Twice! No problems! I think our driver was Nick, also!! lol
  13. My son failed, also. He is seven now, and still can't hear. Well, he can hear the ice cream man from 3 miles away, but he can't hear me tell him to take a bath or clean his room! Seriously, though. He is fine now!
  14. Getting those kids to school would be a logistical nightmare, not to mention that the parents would be up in arms about that!
  15. What is a hummingbird cake?
  16. Thanks so much for helping out my daughter yesterday!
  17. I am a donor, as are my husband and daughter. When my sister passed in Feb, that was the one thing she was upset about. She couldn't donate any organs. She also couldn't donate her body to science. She wanted to try to help someone after she died, but we couldn't make that happen. FYI, if you want to donate your body to science for research, you have to make arrangements months in advance. Just a little tidbit of info in case anyone was thinking about it.
  18. Pull up next to the car and hold up a sign that says "Hey dumba$$--put your baby in a carseat before you kill him. BTW, I am calling the police with your tag number right now". Get they pull over really quickly and buckle that baby up.
  19. I can give you the contact person for this area and she can tell you about the program. It's called Pacific International Exchange (PIE). I think Elise will be very popular with the boys in PCHS! Who wouldn't love a tall, beautiful blonde girl from Norway! lol
  20. Not sure what you mean??
  21. I have been officially "approved" to get my next exchange student this summer! Although I will miss my Venezuelan son, Roberto, when he goes home, I can't WAIT to meet my Norwegian daughter, Elise, when she arrives! Roberto has been amazing, and will always be part of our family. I feel this way about every exchange student we have had (Elise will be number 5). Being an exchange family is SO much fun! It is such an amzing experience for our family. We have learned so much. We've been lucky to get GREAT kids! I hope my luck continues!
  22. I wonder if you would do better to be open later than 6 at least 1 or 2 nights per week. Working parents don't get home until after 6, and I know the grocery stores are busy between 6-7. I think alot of people shop on their way home because everyone is so busy during the weekend. BTW, in my business, we are open in the evenings. We see most of our customers arrive between 6:15 and 6:45. I used to work in retail and we did an analysis of our peak shopping times and changed our schedule to 11-8. JMHO
  23. That just kills me. When Shannon passed away she had all of those meds your mom uses. We threw them away! It never dawned on me that someone else could have used them. Most were brand new because they refilled the prescriptions every time she went to the hospital....and she was admitted 3 times in 3 weeks! I wish I had known!
