Oh I PROMISE you I do NOT intend to keep her as a pet. First and foremost, it would not be fair to her. I was unable to get back on pcom until just now, and am going to call for a rescue place. Just got a PM about a place and several more suggestions, so I WILL find her a rescue place that KNOWS what to do and how to get her back to her rightful place in her world. Shame on you, Rockster!

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! She survived the night and is moving around in her little box. When I fed her, she would not let the dropper loose! She had 2 half droppers full! It is 9:00 now so maybe some of the resources you all gave me will be open for business. I am going to start calling around; do NOT want to lose her now.

Thanks all. I googled and found out she is about 3-4 weeks old. I went to Wal-Mart and bought some Goat's milk, warmed it and fed her with a dropper. She actually held the dopper with her little paws. She is no longer bleeding from her mouth and seems stronger. She is in a small container laying on a flannel pillow case. I put a heater in the bathroom, and bathroom is small, so she is warm. I will try to post some pics. I will start calling in the a.m. for help for her if she survives the night, which I just KNOW she will. The power of positive thinking WORKS!

These are my next door neighbors, and the police and fireman and a huge response team showed up about a month ago when they set one off; however, the dad is a firefighter, and I believe that is why nothing ever happens to them. I totally agree with you here, but I think the child needs to be older to make that decision. My son was 10 and wanted his name changed so his would be like ours, and I discussed it with him, but told him he may want to wait until he was older to make that decsion. He was glad he didn't change his name. Though anyone can change their name to any name they want (for a small price to the court), it is different to "adopt" and/or take rights away. Just changing a name does not chance the father's status.
