My home is the 7th on the left (ALL lit up on weekends only). Homes on the right are actually part of the hood, but the left side of the road is not in the hood until the stop sign. Yes, not just the subdivision has changed, but Paulding County is going down hill. I thought at one time nice subdivisions were appearing and classy people, but then, along came the scum and trash!

I cannot believe there is such low class trash that would steal Christmas decorations out of your yard. God bless you; you will need it. Makes you not want to go to all the trouble to decorate again.

The roads are clear; the deck has snow on it.. Headed to work at 3:30, but the roads are fine! Driving the van because of the wind gusts -- think my little car will be blown off theroad! Stay warm.

Yes, I enjoy sending cards and receiving them. I ALWAYS save pictures and notes that come with the cards over the years and look at them each year as I send out the new ones! Love looking back.

I ALWAYS have a live tree. The one year I did put up an artificial tree, my boys disowned me (and they were in their 30s then). They were so upset! I just love the smell. I do not hear of tree fires much. Last 3-4 years I have had white lights with gold trim, but in the past, it was the family tradition with colored lights and ornaments from the past. I like those too,but like the other best. Jerm, I will share my real one with you over the holidays, you know you are welcome here anytime! Have all the decorating done EXCEPT the tree - that is done AFTER Thanksgiving.

Yep, I want that recipe too. I have the Wendy's chili recipe - I LOVE Wendy's chili, but have not made it myself yet!

Oh, and I forgot to answer the question!!!!!!! Cooked chicken and dumplins Friday. Going to Bama Saturday afternoon for my fortune telling adventure; then to a party that night; Sunday: Church and then start getting lights, etc. together and ready for decorating and then to work that night! Yeah, I know; I'm boring.

That's her story and she's sticking to it -- what a fine example this "teacher" is! I forgot about ING. I have an account with them too. As long as you do not depend on ATM machines, they are good. ATM machines are rare though. Never had a problem though, just move it online when I need $$$.

I use SunTrust, but also have an account at United Community Bank. I do like them.

I am sure it is so they will have everything hung and ready to light for the lighting of the tree, as someone earlier said. I do the same thing. I start hanging during the next week or two because it takes me a while to check the lights to make sure they all work and to fix those that do not in order to get things working and set up in time to light up on Thanksgiving night. Takes me a good 2-3 weeks myself.

Would you believe that I worked on this exact thing for 3 years and presented my package to 3 banks about 2 years ago. The builder said it would NEVER go over in Paulding County because this county is not ready for this type of "elegance" -- my plans included an indoor / outdoor - like you swim under the glass to go to the outdoor part. He wanted me to take it to Cobb County. In any event, I needed $1.5 M, and the banks would not take a chance on me -- NOW, you as a man, might have a better chance. HOWEVER, the way the county is looking now, I do believe my builder was correct.

I voted at Nebo Elementary at 10:00 a.m., and it took me 30 minutes. I have done the early voting in the past, and had a longer wait, but each election is so different. Good luck to all!
