We are located in "downtown" and everything shuts down at 5pm, and we tried to buck the system and stayed open late, on Sundays and until 8 or 9 on and off for weeks and months at a time. If we have 2-3 people come in after 5 it is a lot. We now open a little later until 6 during the week, 7 if there is the Farmer's Market going on and on Saturday. Believe me, it works both ways. Our store was open for Powder Springs Day and I hear the Parade went well. I know our sales showed it as it was our 2nd best day ever, but we did have lots of authors there signing and success was had in store and in life! I can't wait for that road to be open too, I am tired of all the barricades that change constantly. Soon, very soon, it will be open. In the meantime, they have prettied up the town with a lot of new pavement and brick walkways so I guess it will have been worth it, once it is done. -
No mall We don't need more big chains stealing the business from small mom and pop businesses. Support your independents so they can stay in business I am climbing off my soapbox now
