The best we've had around here was Mizu in Douglasville (on Ridge Road in the Publix shopping center).

I have owned two Orecks. The first one lasted about 17 years and had to contend with a LOT of pet hair. It didn't actually quit working - I just traded it in for a new one about 1 1/2 years ago. I have been *very* satisfied with its cleaning ability, and now that I tire a lot more quickly, the fact that it's so lightweight is a big plus.

Thanks for the suggestion, but judging from the prices on their website, I couldn't afford them. Tea at Seven Springs offers a straight rental of their facility as an option, while Ragsdale Inn requires that you use their caterers if you host an event there.

If you have ever hosted OR attended an event at Tea at Seven Springs (the tea house in Powder Springs), I'd love to read your opinions. The only review I could find was nearly three years old, and I'd rather hear about more recent experiences. And before anyone suggests using the Hiram Coffee House instead, I checked their online calendar - they apparently have a contractual obligation to another organization on the first Saturday of every month, which is precisely the day I would need. PMs are welcomed as well - thanks for any input!

LOL - leave it as it is. If you support something - or don't - you shouldn't be afraid to have your opinion on the matter out there. *However*, I will not be voting in your poll because your 'options' are so obviously slanted in favor of Sunday sales. They may be cute as a button, but they don't necessarily reflect the reasons why someone would vote yea or nay.

I get so tired of that 'I pay your salary' crap. You DO know that government employees pay taxes too, don't you?

We used Advanced Fencing Solutions - they did a great job.

Me, too - if I had scads of money, my pets would be the most indulged cats and dog on the planet. -

Did you want a permanent structure or something that's more portable? I've seen things like that in the Drs. Foster Smith catalog. -
I saw that show, too. I just wish I knew why more unmarried teen mothers don't give up their babies for adoption. I understand that that seems harder at the time than keeping them, but in so many cases it would be better for the children and better for the mothers.

Heh - I told my husband she reminded me of the Diva in 'The Fifth Element.' Except for her voice, of course.

Is it possible that the doctor you requested was no longer accepting new patients or was close to overload? That would be a good reason to 'need approval' for the switch. IMO, most businesses have reasons for why they do things. Often they're even *good* reasons.

CHARLIE SHEEN: ANYONE ELSE WATCHING HIS PUBLIC MELTDOWN?

LOVE Craig Ferguson! He said pretty much the same thing about Britney Spears when she was spiraling down. -
Wow, it has already been over a year since moving

It's good to see you post, Nemie - I was just wondering the other day how you and Steve were doing. My husband and I want to visit England someday - he has never been, and I was only there for a few days in 1986. Both of our families can be traced back to there - his to Coventry and mine to a town in Cheshire, and we both love English history, so the pull is strong! Your photos are beautiful - I look forward to seeing more! -
Viking Princess, you should give some *serious* thought to thinning out those pine trees. Unless they're too far from your house - or any neighbors' houses or other property - to cause damage if they fell, they are an accident waiting to happen. I am so glad that the only trees on our property are hardwoods, and the only trees taller than our house are at the back of our lot. Another advantage to removing them: no more pine straw!

I saw this on WSB as well, and yeah, her injury was apparently far more severe than a sprained ankle. But a million dollars worth? I think not. I wonder if her health insurer will now sue *her* in an attempt to recover the $$ they spent on her treatment? I've heard of that happening - the insurance companies often win, too. (BTW, I'm betting the gal was wearing high heels *and* texting when she stepped in the pothole.) I guess my mother should have sued herself when she fell off the carport and broke both ankles.

That would be winter break and spring break, and possibly the Christmas/New Year's break.

No surprise there. But if deliberately planning and paying for a non-refundable vacation during a week bookended by school days seemed stupid before this year, it seems doubly so now.
-
Are you sure you want to chance it? That wouldn't have been such a great plan *this* year ....

I'm guessing she meant the owner will host events after her regular hours. Since HCH closes at 4pm, she could easily handle an early evening shower.

I know what you mean - I've done the same thing. Of course, I'm a very picky eater ....

Hi, everybody. Many of you have read or heard the following before, but I hope you'll bear with me as I share this with those who have not. Sixteen years ago today, I drove my handsome husband to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Unlike most unplanned trips to the hospital, this was an occasion that blended tension and uncertainty with happiness and great hopes for the future. He was on his way there because we had gotten "the call." Evan had been on peritoneal dialysis for about a year and a half, thanks to diabetes-induced renal failure. He was on Social Security disability, and
