  1. Hospice will be a great blessing for all of you. I'll be thinking of you.
  2. Thanks - I'll try and remember that. I rarely go into Dallas, but I needed to go to the post office today and thought I'd try to find the bakery. They must not have much signage up yet.
  3. OK, I just came back from downtown Dallas and rode up and down Main Street FOUR times and never saw the place. What businesses are their next-door neighbors?
  4. We used Advanced Fencing Solutions and have been completely satisfied.
  5. I'd be delighted to read some viable alternatives ....
  6. Careful now - you don't want to get too specific. There might be someone out there who will figure out that s/he was the reason your week was hell (especially yesterday!) and think you've violated his/her privacy.
  7. No, it's not. There's a difference in a flat-handed search technique and a 'groping.' If it makes you feel any better, I'd just as soon go to the Israeli method of passenger screening: interrogate everyone and watch for signs of lying. It's time-consuming and expensive, but very effective.
  8. Would you want someone to come into your work place and assault YOU for something that a co-worker did? Think about it.
  9. I haven't seen a single article about this incident where the passenger alleged that she was 'groped' by the TSA agent first, so IMO she assaulted the agent without any kind of justification. I hope the silly git *is* charged with a misdemeanor, convicted and receives the maximum punishment.
  10. Sorry you're missing my point. I'm sure your mother did the best she could. I've had some of the frozen food from Aldi's and it was quite acceptable, so I'll be willing to give them a try - it'll be nice to have one closer than Marietta or Mableton.
  11. Actually, I used the word 'maybe,' whereas YOU said your mom raised you and your siblings on Aldi's food and that seeing one of their stores makes you want to hurl. So are you saying that your mom gave y'all substandard food? Now *that's* an insult.
  12. But a LOT more expensive. I'd love to have a Trader Joe's around here, but if people think Aldi's caters to the middle-class and below, Trader Joe's *decidedly* caters to the upper-class shopper. I sent them a location suggestion a few years ago for Dallas Highway around The Avenues, but I think that's as far west as we'll ever see them.
  13. Maybe that has more to do with the food prep and less with the Aldi's. Not all moms are great cooks.
  14. I've purchased several things from FootSmart.com and always been satisfied with the quality of the items. Even if you buy the stockings elsewhere, you may want to read their FAQ about compression stockings: http://www.footsmart.com/Page.aspx?PageId=336
  15. My guilty pleasure show is the occasional episode of 'Bridezillas.'

    LASIK

ZERO regrets. And depending on your age, you may discover that you *won't* need reading glasses for some years to come. Some people opt for the monovision thing, where one eye is corrected for distance and the other is not, so that reading glasses aren't necessary. I wanted both eyes corrected and I'm glad I chose that route. Good luck!
  17. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/In_Georgia_what_steps_are_taken_to_legitimize_a_child If conflict between the mother and father seems likely, I'd consult a family law attorney rather than try to DIY.
  18. I'd be willing to bet that a considerable number of P.com posters did not attend schools in Georgia.
  19. Could someone be a little more specific as to *where* on 92? I've never heard of a shoe shop around here ....
  20. Sure he does: he wants the business to succeed so that he can collect that rent. I don't even have a problem with that, as long as he's upfront about it. I wish this newest business good luck in their venture. Maybe LPPT will call on those folks soon and persuade them to buy a commerce membership.
  21. I simply asked Anon to clarify his/her relationship to either the landlord or the current lessee. S/He was pretty quick to come to the landlord's defense in the original HCH thread in May, and then equally quick to post praise about the newest business in that storefront. You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to see an agenda there - I just wanted to know what that agenda is. If Anon is a relative or friend to either party, just saying so up front would dispel some of the mystery of the situation.
