  1. "guys whose hair begins to thin while in their 20s" So, since my hair started thinning in my late teens, does that mean I'm even more likely? "There was no suggestion that men who started to go bald in their 20s were any more likely to get a more aggressive form of prostate cancer." Eh, I guess not... "The French researchers studied 669 men — 388 were being treated for prostate cancer, and 281 had no history of the disease." Sounds to me like a fairly small test pool to conclusively say that men with thinning hair are proven to be twice as likely to develop prostate cancer.
  2. I don't know the intricacies of how the board runs. However, I just noticed that I get the full version of the board when I sign out. If I'm logged in, I get the mobile version. I can see that I wasn't clear, but my comparison was to the previous mobile version that was available. Obviously you never used it (Oh, to add to your list, the topic subtitle isn't shown either.) If you don't like the mobile version, there is a link at the bottom of the page for the full version. If you decide that you want to go back to the mobile version... I'm still trying to figure that out, even af
  3. The website detects that you are on a mobile device and automatically gives you the new mobile version on the board as long as you are using a compatible browser. In my experience, this mobile version is available only in my Droid X's default Android browser; it isn't available in Opera Mini. This mobile version is more visually appealing, easier to use due to the touch interface, and includes features such as messaging and recent topics that weren't available in the stripped-down lo-fi skin that was previously available.
  4. A couple more screenshots of P'com as seen on the Android browser on Droid X 5) Touching the post displays a Reply button; 6) the reply screen 7) Toggling the user options button on the top-right corner
  5. When I opened the P'com forums on my Droid X using the Android browser a few months ago, I noticed that it had a neat touch interface. Here are a few screenshots... 1) The list of forums; 2) The New Internet Cafe 3) Viewing a thread; 4) looking at Pubby's post
  6. I just saw on Channel 2 news that "a kitchen appliance" was determined to be the cause of the fire.
  7. You can cook the sausage in the beans and serve it over the rice.
  8. What's tacky about asking for photos of the house fires from anyone nearby? Just to point out, the request was made before any casualties were reported. This is a news website and Pubby often quests photos if possible for breaking news.
  9. The last time I found a wallet with driver's license, I just drove over to the address and put it in the mailbox. I am dumbfounded at how you seem to need a phone number in order to contact this person. If you don't want to drive to Mt. Tabor, send an anonymous letter in the mail to the address on the driver's license with your phone number to arrange a meeting. Or if you can spare a few bucks, just mail the wallet to that address. Maybe there was enough cash inside to cover postage... Another idea, if you go to the same post office as the address, maybe they'd be willing to drop it off for fr
  10. I stopped paying my Greystone bill online some years ago when they started charging. I, too, thought it ridiculous that they are the only company that charges to pay online when everybody else is pushing their free online billing and payments. However, with this new system, automatic credit card or bank card draft is free. In other words, you'll pay a "convenience" fee for a one-time payment online, but if you setup to automatically charge your card every month, there won't be a fee.
  11. Apparently someone called the PS Animal Clinic saying they didn't like how the Egyptians are being treated and they were going to blow up the post office

  13. A friend of mine saw a mail truck driving on Sweetwater Church Rd this afternoon. I thought maybe it was someone delivering Express Mail, but that's usually done in the morning.
  14. I contacted an employee and was told that it was closed for safety because of the snow and ice.
  15. Heh, well I guess you do bring up some good points that most people would associate with "the hood". I'm not sure about the fast food restaurant ratio, though.
  16. I don't know, but here's the phone number: Taylor Farm Park 770-222-3270
  17. I don't know, but most likely not. I'd be surprised if Marietta still planned to deliver on Sunday and/or Monday
  18. No, because you mentioned "'da hood". Google hood and you'll find that it is slang for ghetto. Google ghetto and you'll find that "A Ghetto is a poor overcrowded urban area often associated with a specific ethnic or racial population." Someone said Douglasville is the hood, someone else agreed and said to go to another mall alleging that it's safer, and then someone compared Arbor Place to Greenbriar, which is known to be a black mall. I said it looks like implied racism based on my impression after reading other comments. If that was nowhere near your intentions, realize that things can b

  20. The hood? Greenbriar Mall? You aren't aware of the race connection?
  21. Wow, looks like a lot of implied racism in this thread. Y'all don't get scared just because everybody at the store isn't white.
  22. Or perhaps the increase of babies named "Snowden" come October...
  23. As a mail carrier, I frequently see people stop in front of houses and take photos. Typically for houses that are going up for sale or foreclosed on.
