I can't believe this. He cut my boys' hair for years. Don't know why we stopped going to him. Life just moved on I guess. This is just so sad.

We will miss you so much, Miss Sue. !

As with most things like this - there is more to this story. And, Pubby, while that works with our own children that we are raising (though maybe not now with the imposition of DFACs), a school system can't do that. And, you shouldn't ask them to, in my opinion. The fact is that if this kid is causing body harm (pencil to the eye) and/or strangling himself to the point of passing out (which is coming), and nothing else worked - yeah - call the cops. Now - was that state police officer the closest (perhaps already in the building), was he closer than local folks, was he closer than the school resource officer or replacing the school resource officer that day? There's alot more to this than we know, and as such, I can't render a judgement.
Would I like to have this happen? Absolutely not. But, I've had similiar incidents happen when I was in charge - my reaction - grab my police officer who had his handcuffs and zip ties on his belt from work. Didn't need them. But, I might have.

Sounds like the principal is aware of your concerns and is telling you that he/she is investigating it. They can't tell you much because it's an employment issue as well as a teaching issue. I would check back in in a week or two and go from there. But, I very much see the principal telling you that they hear you and they are looking into the situation.

I love Bill Carruth - both sides. I hate it for Feelip and his neighbors - but I LOVE having that alternate route into Hiram. And, I think it really has helped. It keeps alot of through traffic out of downtown Hiram. I can't wait to see how much of a different there is at Christmas time.

I NEVER use 92 in or out of D'ville anymore. Most of the time I cut down Pine Valley to Burnt Hickory to the Greystone office and either PU 78 there into D'ville or go straight across and end up on 92 on the other side of i20. The rare is exception is when we meet friends for dinner at the Irish Pub or Gumbeaux's.

Look up
Karmady Yoga with Jillon facebook. She has a great class. I just wish I had a few more spare hours a week to join her classes more.

I've never figured out why the taxi business as seen as such a bad thing. This is similar to what the state is trying to do to Uber. What's up with it? Just let people run their business. Especially because of the internet, social media, etc., any bad publicity due to any of the concerns that have been raised will quickly put the company out of business. We don't need local government being like this.
Really - I can't call a cab if I need one in this county???

My boys were helping push cars at Davis Mill and Hiram Sudie. And, the bridge inspection guy with his HUGE duelie was pulling just about anything up the hill. Several other guys were pulling vehicles (including a bus) to where they could get moving on their own. HUGE shout out to the bridge inspection guy!! He was working his butt off - sliding around on the ice and then pulling away!!

I love minor league ball. And, I love having you all basically in my back yard. Thanks for letting us know!!

Oh my goodness - I hope she's going to be okay in the long run. Her husband is quite sweet. I think they are two puzzle pieces that fit together.
I don't mind going to the indoor pool on Macland - or even paying their out of county fee (I certianly don't have to pay their tax rate). But, the chlorine level is SOOOOOO high - it just eats bathing suits. I live right around the corner (literally) from her - so I could certainly take her class if the timing works. !

She is an amazing swim teacher. I've seen her get kids that are DEATHLY afraid of the water into the pool, learning, and eventually swimming. She also is kind and takes our boy scouts to teach them to swim. All around - I really like her as a swim teacher.
Now, she's not the most adult oriented person in the world. She has been hard to get a hold of in the past, but I think that's changing. When we've needed soccer fields quickly - she's always been responsive.
Overall - I would definitely take my kid to her for swim lessons.

Both of my boys have taken swim lessons there, as have several friend's children. What would you like to know? We've also worked with the owner for soccer and scouting.

I don't know anyone that has had JUST that surgery. But, I know several teens that have had that with other knee repairs - ACL repair, MCL repair, etc. When does she start PT? That will probably be the best thing for her - not just the PT, but the support group around her - everyone there has something wrong with them and is getting better.

Friends saw the aftermath. He was on the side of the road in the grass. Don't know what happened though. I'll ask if she ever found out.

As I can out and get rid of stuff - I bring it to you. ! It may not be alot at one time, but it always comes to you. And, I've introduced a couple of friends that were taking stuff to the Goodwill to you and they are also bringing you all their stuff. ! You do great work.

My chiropractor had studied under him before going out on his own. I had just asked him on Friday how he was doing and he told me then that he was in Hospice care and wasn't doing well. Neither of us had any idea that that was going to be the day.
He was my first chiro. He overcame alot of my fears and reassured me as to chiropractic care's place in my overall health. I will be forever grateful.
And, Ms. Georgia - she was a piece of work. I always told her she was Miss America with a name like that (and then he had Miss Virginia - I think he had a thing for Miss America).
RIP Dr. Morris. You fought the good fight!

Contact Warehouse of Hope in Douglasville. Good people there.
And this^^ attitude is why leaving the needy to rely on the charity of others will not work in this country. Who wants to have to substantiate or verify that they are at a low point in their life and struggling in addition to the mental stress they already endure in return for a dollar or two from someone who has it to spare?
If you are asking me for something - to give up something of mine - then yes - there needs to be a certain amount of trust. This is part of the problem in this country. No one thinks they need to substantiate walking up to their neighbor and asking them for money. Every welfare check, every medicaid payment, every disability check, etc. is walking up to your neighbor and asking them for money. Most folks would never ask their neighbor to help pay for their medical bills or their food or whatever, but they have no problem asking the federal government to do it. And, it's the same thing - the federal government takes that money with the threat of a gun.
So, yes, I do feel like we can ask those questions.

Baked chicken, stuffed zucchini, and mashed potatoes at our house - running out for practice and scouts after that.

My favorite is "We're #1 in the #2 !!"
We used you all when we needed our tank pumped a few years ago. Thanks for great service then. And, good to know that you're still around.

Have you ever just been overwhelmed with stuff? Well we are.....and we will be having a yard sell this Friday and Saturday (March 29 and 30). There will be so much "stuff" here you won't know where to begin. "Stuff" from tools to cooking gadgets to clothes to household items.....just all kinds of stuff. Some commercial restaurant "stuff" and work out "stuff" and who knows what other "stuff" we will come across. The yard sell will be at our shop (187 Shady Glen, Dallas). We will crank up the popcorn machine and have canned drinks and water to go along with all of our "stuff".
Plan now to come out and take a look cause we are looking forward to relocating lots of our "stuff"
Do you have any stainless steel pots, pans, skillets, utensils, knives for sale? My scout troop is looking for them and we were actually headed out tomorrow to get them from a restaurant supply house. But, if we can help you out - I'd love to get them from you.
(I can write you a tax receipt as well).

Shucks - I started in 1975 and am a very limited group of girls known as Pixies. They were only in existence for two years and years later were reincarnated as the Daisies.. ! I'm a life member of Girl Scouts (got it as a high school graduation gift) and am also a Boy Scout leader.

Cedarcrest PC - do you know The Computer Guy? Would you recommend him? He's a personal friend of mine, but I've never used him professionally.

Won't be me - we're headed up north to visit family in VA and we'll end up eating out somewhere. Don't ask - it's a mess up there. But, I'll end up helping my mom with Christmas Eve dinner (our big celebration - Christmas day is leftovers from Christmas Eve). I've never left the giblets in though. We raised birds for eating growing up - so when I cooked my first "commercial" bird - I called mom to find out what in hell's name was inside the bird.
My big issue is cooking it upside down. If it doesn't have the popup timer in it - invariably - it'll get cooked upside down.
Never fails sick child....

There were some nasty bugs going around right before they got out of school. Mine was puny all weekend and most of the week. Reason # 134 that I'm glad we get breaks - let's the schools get de-germed.
