I never miss an opportunity to cast my vote.
-
Ok I thought it was a tax lien, I would have been disappointed because I was told there weren't any. They can address this however they want to when they see it publicized. Since they are from the first of the year they may have cleared the matter up.
I don't think I said that.
-
You should have it now. You can verify however you choose. I've stated from the beginning that I don't know the background on these FiFas. I just know they are real and add up to a significant amount of money.
-
The links didn't show.
I tried to attach it, it said it loaded. I can email it if you prefer. I just hated that mysterious was being questioned when I had actually seen the documents.
No, that's a late filing, which is technically an ethics violation, but according to the article, she's going to fix that.
Speaking of ethics violations, Michael Ray James has failed to disclose the source of his campaign funds.
-
LPPT, I PM'd them to you.
-
I'm not being "cloak and dagger". I have them in a PDF. I'm not sure those can be posted here. And, I don't know the background on the FiFas.
-
I can email them to you or send you a PM of the site where they are located.
-
I have seen the documents (there are two) and they are accessible to any one who wants to see them.

Thank you for hosting the meeting and it was great to see some of my friends again.
Thank you, Mr. Chester, for being a good representative for our children.

Facts do not matter to most around here.
Good to see you!
You know as well as I do that the amount of the suit is to make sure that the lawyer gets paid for his time. Depending on how complicated or simple the case the lawyer tries to estimate the amount of work, sets the settlement amount so that his % covers his cost.
The Morrisons did not say we want 1.5 million, their lawyer whom they trust sets the amount before he will take the case.
The settlement would not cover the lawyers portion and allow them to repair damages.
These cases are all about the lawyers, I think you know that.
We have a great justice system in America if you can afford it.
No, no I don't. Try again.
-
Excuse me the Morrison's never wanted the money from day one, They did not want their land taken. They were out there every day trying to stop bulldozers and heavy equipment. Telling these people that they were on their property. It could have been stopped then. The sheriffs reports will show how often they were called out there.
They could have stopped at any time and the county could have protected the home owners property rights.
There was intent by the county not to do so. Any money the Morrison's get was spent by the county back then. If they chose to spend the money on attorneys, then the county spent the money not the Morrison's.
Seems to me the county created a lot of bills back in those days that we are still paying on, this one is not any different.
I simply stated that I agreed that we didn't have the whole story. We still don't. The county doesn't comment on their side. Oddly enough, if I remember correctly, the Morrison lawsuit seeks $1.5 million dollars (that will be taxpayer dollars). I also recall at one point they were offered a considerable settlement, which they refused and continued the suit.

There have been a 100 threads started about this very lawsuit but strangely nothing after a major ruling. I have said the entire time we are only hearing one side of the story which looks like it may be true.
I have said the same thing. When I added the county may have been doing exactly what they should have been doing, protecting the taxpayers, you should have seen the "soaking" I got.

No, you will never see because it is all about politics to you.
You judge me and think you know me, and I'm quite sure we've never met. You know nothing.

You really think those things are comparable? Really?
Now I see. It's about politics, not the person or issues. Party over substance.
No, you don't see and you never will because you choose not to see. In this instance, I'm seeking "motivation".
What I see here is the challenger attempting very vigorously to label herself as a conservative because she knows that this will play in Paulding County. However, little of what she says truly seems to amount to a conservative platform. She triers to use buzzwords, but when pressed for details, her responses range from vague and nondescript to not-at-all-conservative-sounding. This includes responses to questions about aboortzion, immigration, transportation, health care, et al. Sometimes I completely disagree with her cryptic responses, and other times I agree, but what bothers me is the attempt to create an image above all else--an image that does not appear to square with what she does say.
Further complicating this is the fact that she is a Johnny Come Lately to the party--she was never a Republican until this election. One wonders why she is just now embracing the party, what role her family's business interests play in this decision, and to what extent she really is in line with the state or national platforms on a variety of issues.
At this point in time, at least, color me umimpressed.
One of the best posts in the thread and it'll be looked over by the majority.

You serious?
Don't you have some links to post?
I openly supported Will Avery against Paulette 2 years ago, and would do so again. The better candidate, regardless of partisan politics would get my vote.
The same Will Avery whose campaign manager deliberately attempted to deceive the good voters of Paulding County and Paulding.com.

So, let me get this straight. We shouldn't bring up Morrison's lawsuit or direct affiliations with Avery but we'll claim Braddock has ties to GALEO. Gotcha. Double standard noted.

I started a company in 1985. All of my clients are businesses. Mostly major corporations. Mostly Fortune 500 companies. Getting a check within 45 days of invoice is fast and I have had some to take 180 days.
Now I did without a lot of things back in the start up days. You didn't see me riding around in a Mercedes. You still won't. My vendors were paid every week regardless.
Seems to me that some people have no idea of what being conservative actually is. But I can tell you for sure that owing that kind of money and sporting a Mercedes is ghetto rich, not conservative.
Do you have any idea the year and model of this Mercedes?
-
Okay I will be honest. GALEO is not a conservative organization. This is quite obvious by the list of founding fathers
Bill Heath, Paulette Braddock, And Tony Crowe attended this fund raiser.
Heath boast that he is a "Rock solid conservative" And so does Paulette, Who knows where Tony Crowe stands with the whisper campaign he is running?????
Time for the candidates to be honest, They are not fooling anyone!!!!!
But, GALEO is not connected to Heath, Braddock nor Crowe. None of them were listed.
psst. The candidate you're supporting was trying to beat Xerox out of $800,000. Is that your idea of honesty?
I don't recall indicating my support. I'm taking the high road. I won't browbeat your candidate.

It appears that GALEO is involved in her campaign A recent campaign fund raiser indicates that one of the 100 founding friends of this organization was very prominent in this fund raiser
http://www.galeo.org/friends.php
I wonder of Paulette considers this a conservative organization, Heck I wonder if Bill Heath considers this a conservative organization?
You love creating the smoke and mirrors, don't you? Just be honest.

I seriously doubt most of the folks in this thread would want all of the candidates held to the same standard.

Just FYI. Because it really doesn't matter to me at this point, Heath's diploma is floating around Facebook. It states "Southern Technical Institute". I don't want to see his diploma, I want to see the fliers he sent out.

A lot of these questions could have been answered by attending tonight's debate.
And, I completely agree with those who state the new Courthouse was definitely needed. Some of you have NO idea the conditions county employees were working in and how unsafe it was for the average citizen with the way they were transporting prisoners for trial.

Illegals are not eligible for WIC or other welfare programs. Children born here are American citizens and they are entitled to assistance but not the illegal aliens themselves.
And if that's a newborn baby, who gets the benefit? That baby can't go buy formula.

A look at the incumbents voting record while serving on the school board is enough for me to vote against her.
Is their some reason you did not include this in the above question?
Because she now has 2 years as a representative to review. Let's look at that, shall we? Probably better done in a thread other than Mrs. Morrison's though.

McDonald's hot coffee case: Revisit the urban legend
in Wild side of the news
Posted
I've known the facts of the "hot coffee" case for years. and you are right. The case does prove that the media does distort the facts for their own purposes. I'm glad you're admitting that media distortion is real.
Do you also believe tort reform was unnecessary?
