  1. BTW, e_m! Have you ever suspected yourself as being a "Control Freak?" Just asking!
  2. Good for you, mei lan! I appreciate people who will stand up, speak out, and talk back. And, if the boss don't listen let him see the soles of your feet when you walk out. The door know might hit him in the arse.
  3. Believe me, E Z, I understand. How's that working for you? Being confused about relationships with people can be detrimental to the well being of any given situation, not just a marriage. Again, is your confusion working better than a little understand about relationships? I know that people in the Military has had problems understanding some of their gay fellow soldiers. But, hay, it's a relationship; does that scare you?
  4. You do seem to be confused, E_M! Relationships are not just about marriage, and not just about the relationships people have with their boss. If there is any degree of control between two people; IT'S A RELATIONSHIP! There are four brothers, in the group below, but one left.
  5. Can you tell when somebody is responding to another person with arrogance and a false sense of superiority? What about total conformance to an implication about their demeanor?
  6. Some people react to labels with complete and total conformance to the implied message and other times they radically react against the label by becoming extreme in rebellion in the opposite direction. A person who has been put down and labeled in a negative way might respond with arrogance and a false sense of superiority. They may pretend vehemently that they couldn't care less about the acceptance that has been withheld from them. According to Doctor Phillip McGraw, it's important to note that in both cases, whether you are a conforming to a label or radically rebelling against it, the
  7. The owner of the company mat say they didn't know, but she continues to be employed. I guess it works, because if it didn't the company owner would become interested in the situation. Ruling by intimidation, however, is not a good idea in the long run.
  8. I live within 2 miles of an ALDI store. I do a lot of my grocery shopping there. I raise most all of my veggies, but I buy meat at ALDI's. If I can save one cent, I don't mind taking my own bags with me to the store, and putting my items in those bags. I use the same bags over and over again. Talk about green, I recycle the bags once they are beyond use. ALDI's is a good place to do business right now, but I do keep my eye on them. I research what things cost so I will be well informed informed. I've seen times when I wished I had bought from ALDI's but the dollar's worth of gas made
  9. I'm not talking about labels on the items in your cupboard. I'm talking about your label's. Can you even identify your label's? I'm talking about the ones that are at work in your life. Just like the title says, "how are they working for you?" Please understand that not all harmful labeling is motivated by hatred or by a desire for control over other people. Harmful labels can be induced by a healer who obviously had good intentions. The question remains, however; "hows it working for you? I borrowed some of this material from Philip C. McGraw, Ph.D..
  10. In therapy, as Dr. McGraw's interactions wore on, it was apparent that Darren was terribly insecure personally. He was so afraid that Sara would leave him as his first wife had, that he did everything he could to control her appearance,(I'm thinking his first wife had a pretty good reason for leaving). The fatter and more unattractive she stayed, according to Darren's sick reasoning, the less likely she was to stray. He had a pathological fear that he'd lose Sara to another man if she lost weight, so he felt he had to keep her fat and sassy. Obviously, mei lan, Dr. McGraw had a lot of com
  11. When I say I love me some P.com, I am as serious as a heart attack. Even the people who try to incapacitate what I say are very important to me. If some of those people put me on ignore it would not be good. I appreciate educated opinion even if it's not agreeable with mine. Nobody died and made me King of The Sheeze Hill. I don't work for p.com, I just love it. I said, in another post, "I learn something new, every day." I was not lying. I feel that if I didn't appreciate educated opinion even when it disagrees with mine there would be something missing about my demeanor.
  12. More of the materials are meant to generate understanding instead of conversation. I just love it when I see several readers of one of my posts, while the saboteurs have left me with a free ride to express myself. My opinion about things is not just my opinion alone. I do MUCH research before I express my strongest opinions. Everybody is impulsive to a certain extent, including me. But, I seek information on what other people believe, before I express a strong opinion. I am particular about who I seek information from, in regard to researching my opinion. I'm a firm believer in educated op
  13. With the Control Freak, it's all about power manipulation. The Control Freak is dead set on sabotaging your personal control and power over your ability to express your own feelings. I am borrowing this information from Doctor Phillip C. McGraw, Ph.D.. "I vividly recall a couple I worked with for several months who were seriously considering divorce rather than continuing their hostile marriage. Darren and Sara had been married for two years. For Sara, it was her first marriage; for Darren, his second. Years earlier, Darren's first wife had had an affair, and one day Darren came home
  14. I know the guy in your avatar, Shm! I used to work in the same place he did.
  15. The FBI has launched an investigation into Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. amid allegations that employees or associates may have hacked into phone conversations and voicemail of September 11 survivors, victims and their families, a federal law enforcement source told CNN. "We are aware of the allegations and are looking into them," said the source, who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the investigation. "We'll be looking at anyone acting for or on behalf of News Corp., from the top down to janitors," to gather information and determine whether any laws may have been broken. ~ CNN
  16. I like FOX news, c2G! It amuses me to listen to them, and watch their show.
  17. That's right, c2g! I don't like corruption of any kind, but some people are selective of the corruption they don't like. Authorities have arrested 14 people today in the United States in connection with hacking attacks by the Anonymous group of online activists, sources said. The arrests follow raids earlier in the day on homes in New York, California, New Jersey, and Florida, a law enforcement source told CBS News. Details were not immediately available on the arrests, which a U.S. government official told CBS News and another unidentified source confirmed to CNET. An FBI spo
  18. I'm glad I have no ulterior motive to protect myself from possibly being a victim of this scandal. Freedom from possible affiliation is not one of my concerns. I am not a driver of any getaway car, nor was I one of the guys in the bank guarding the door while somebody else pulled off a robbery. When Murdoch said he was not at fault, and blamed other people down the chain of command, it struck me as how a weasel gets away with the chicken. http://youtu.be/2plchCo8Q4M
  19. I never thought about eating them. I guess I am a sissy about things like that.
  20. Some people, like me, think they are smart enough. But, I just discovered that I didn't even know what ease dropping was. It's actually called eavesdropping. Now that word is not what I'm talking about, here. Obsolete behavior patterns can leave you eating the dust of other people foot traffic. You've got no choice but to keep up, unless you want to breath dust while people are going by, much younger than you are. The more I study, however, the dumber I find out I am. Before I signed up with a P.com membership I thought I was as smart as the average bear around here. To my dismay I d
  21. I have never had crawfish, Sw! Is them SOB's any worse than crabs?
  22. Thanks, PSD! I am strongly considering that. But, I have lived in GA for over 66 years. I would like to see it take a few pointers from Alabama's book on moral principle. I might not move, but stay here and aggravate the new comers here in Georgia. Over 66 years is a long haul.
  23. Thank you very much, wfal! I indeed forgot the spelling of the actual word I wanted to use. Principle is what I meant. I knew it because I have studied that wording before. I'll swear, I would forget my head if it wasn't attached to my shoulders, sometimes. And it's not just that. I make mistakes of all kinds. I make a lot more mistakes, it seems, than the average person does. But, I will be ok. Thanks, again, wfal!
