  1. Is his agenda to represent Paulding or represent the Right to Life Group ?
  2. Beachy I think I have to disagree with you....again. Glenn will be paying the price for his misdeeds until his youngest child reaches the age of 18, and until Susan chooses to remarry. Of course even as a "Public Servant" he managed to have his divorce records sealed. But I would be willing to bet he will be paying and paying and paying substantially for years to come. And I think that is great as Susan deserves every penny after what he put her through. Praise him all you want......and I ask again: Please tell me, show me, or send me the information as to what the SPEAKER of the
  3. MrsSurepip had left over split pea soup with some ham and garden salad. I had left over Satay Pork Tenderloin, basmati rice with satay sauce, sesame oil cole slaw and garden greens. Tomorrow I have a Kroger boneless beef shoulder roast which has been airing out for a week. I'll decide how to cook it in the morning.
  4. Well gosh, golly darn BB. Without your vote this whole poll will just be totally irrelevant won't it. You just have to go and spoil everything for the entire p.com crowd. You Old Meanie!
  5. No, that is MEvans opinion. David and Tommie I would say stand alone and will work to do the right thing. Don "waffles" back and forth. There are some issues I thought he would pick up the ball and run with, and he chose not to. But then again, for many years he was out there all by himself against the other 4, then 3 commissioners. Larry and Wayne are your current Good 'Ol Boys and Larry stands the chance of sitting all out there by himself depending on how the elections turn out.
  6. Absolutely! I think Tommie Graham has done a magnificent job on the BOC. He comes to the meetings prepared, knowledgeable, and asks questions which cut to the chase. His financial background has definitely been an asset to the entire BOC. He appears to be very active within all sectors of the county including working with those not in his Post. I don't see how anyone who has watched any of the BOC meetings cannot be impressed with Tommie and I sincerely hope the voters of Post 3 return him to his Commission. He has definitely been a refreshing breathe of fresh air on the BOC and has stepped
  7. Please show me where I have ever badmouthed David Austin ? And you are more that welcome to apologize after your search for any such thing. I am afraid you have been hallucinating and inventing such things. I anxiously await your reply.
  8. Excuse me? Rabid Dog when I did not get my way ? I offered to sit down and negotiate. David and I had a nice meeting at the time, and since. David let me know three members of the BOC chose NOT to sit down and negotiate until the Judge rules on the primary motion now at hand. OK with us. We offered to let the county off for far less than the dollars in the suit. Instead, from that point forward, we let it stand. WE can say we offered. They chose not to even give it a shot. I have not turned on David Austin at all. I saw and spoke with him last week as well. Where do you get your misinfo
  9. And then expect the incoming Chairman to retain you in that job no less. When you work for an elected official on his personal staff you are 100% expendable when the next administration arrives. Ms Cochran felt she was entitled to her job forever. I see her main purpose running for commissioner is to be as vindictive as possible. I should have had my open records request today. I will check on it tomorrow and will put up what I receive.
  10. Simple. We were willing to sit down and discuss it face to face with David Austin to attempt to find an out of court settlement. Our suits are against the BOC and the Developer and the Development Company. I have to assume you would rather just let the lawyers fight every inch of the way, keep paying them, and NOT try to find a common ground to reach an amicable conclusion. That $Million+ already paid out by the county to their Atlanta attorney could have kept alot of people at their jobs with the county. Seems stupid to not attempt to find a settlement. But then again.....
  11. We use what was a 100 gallon plastic fish pond which is right next to the foundation to put our greywater from the clothes washer in. If nothing needs watering when we are running the washer, I will put in either regular chlorox or another product I get from hatcheries which is a chlorine dioxide. This will then allow us to hold the water for several days. Otherwise the bacteria will multiply and the water will become aseptic [stinky].
  12. I believe Taylor has a summer internship at Fox5.
  13. Aw shucks! I thought this thread was going to be about Tayloe Austin, our old P.com newsgirl. Saw her last week and I had to tell her how much she was missed on p.com . Granted, the replacements are still better than pubby, but not near as nice to look at as Taylor was. She is a big wheel now with what, Fox5 ?
  14. Sorry, I want more than that. If someone wants to run for an office representing the people of Paulding County I would like to think they can at least come on here, or have some of their supporter do the same, and let us know where they stand on important issues..... SPLOS Education Funding [like how to stop from laying off teachers and increasing class sizes] Bringing industry and jobs to Paulding Impact fees, if and when the housing industry ever starts up again Reservoir And .....??????
  15. Or shall we just keep trashing the "other guys" ? Less than 8 weeks to the election primaries now. Do any candidates DARE to come on to P.com and talk about what they are, or are not promoting for their platforms ? Or shall we wait for all the One on One conversations with the 50,000 voters ? Come on candidates, let's hear where you stand, what you want, and how you feel about what you can do for Paulding County if elected.........
  16. Just about all countries can have their "danger spots", but I have to agree with the posts above, Costa Rica is one of, if not the most safe places in all of central america. They have more teachers than police and the highest literacy in the West. The Northern part of the country along the Nicaraugan border would be the only problematic area I have heard much about. Pacific for fishing and walking the beach. Gulf side for swimming snorkling. If you can find cottage rentals who accept Amex or other such credit cards, who will help back you up, you should be able to get a safe and s
  17. Working with an orthopaedic would be the preffered route, but without insurance that will be very costly. The motrin, or ibuprofen will take 10 days or so before it starts alleviating the pain. Whenever I have to come off the motrin for any reason, I start hurting [Had some elective surgery and they insisted I come off the motrin for 10 days before the surgery and I could hardly walk by the time they cut me]. And yes, if you take high doses of motrin you will also bleed more freely. But for a bottle of 200mg tablets with like 500 for less than $10, it may help.
  18. It would be great if it works on a large scale with crude instead of refined/burnt oil. And if it does work well, I can only say I sure am glad chickens don't eat hay, because it is going to take one hell of a lot of hay to soak up what is in the Gulf.
  19. Just who are you referring to as the new house leadership ? I invited Rallston to come to the IPE, as I did his predecessor as already mentioned. But I really did not expect to hear back from him. And I didn't. I made no effort to get any of the leadership to the show floor this year as the 4 or 5 times I tried to get MY Legislator to attend when he was Speaker was a waste of time, so I really don't expect the representative from Blue Ridge to pay me any attention. The Ag Department had a booth at the IPE again this year. And actually manned it most of the time. Poultry just has
  20. MrsSurepip moved to her new office at the Ag Department today so I am playing it by ear. Either left over Chicken cutlets with ham and a cantelope garlic herb cream sauce.....or Grilled Satay Pork Tender Loin. Garden Salad before this heat burns it up, and a nicely chilled Rose.
  21. Yes, it does make the board a bit more interesting. And just think, we have 2 months for the primaries, and then another 3 months for the general election. I am still somewhat at a loss of what old Hiram Girl is/was getting at. Am I mistaken, or do we only see her at election times ?
  22. What are you talking about and who got your panties in a wad ? I know Terry Coleman well. I have worked with him on various poultry related projects for the past 2+ years since he has been deputy commissioner of agriculture. I have never had any problems getting his ear. I believe his last day at the Ag Department was last Friday or today. Because he is running for another state wide office he had to resign as deputy commissioner. I have known Abit Massey, the director of the Georgia Poultry Federation for more than 30 years and have worked with him and Mike Giles on many poultry
  23. If this was directed at me, you lost me completely. I have never even attempted to communicate with the new House of Representative leadership about anything. I am in contact with the Georgia Department of Agriculture on a weekly basis although with Terry Coleman now gone [he is running for Labor Commissioner] I will not be communication with them as much until probably January when they will get a new commissioner. I am in contact with David Austin and some of the other commissioners by email and phone on a regular bas And I don't miss your buddy EX-Speaker Richardson's presen
  24. You are totally incorrect with the boldfaced comment above. Both the BOC and we, can indeed discuss the case, and a possible settlement without the attorney's present. Our attorney cannot meet with them unless their attorney is present. And I have met with David Austin and discussed the case. But the BOC would not vote to approve a full sit down meeting to possibly work out a settlement, so we proceed on to court, and continue to spend thousands of dollars on the lawyers.
