  1. So what you are saying is p.com slumber party at yo house?
  2. I get what you are saying and will make sure it is ok before commiting funds, but if I am understanding you correctly they wanted it on a particular part of the lot for aesthetic reasons which shouldn't be an issue because if someone came along and told us it needs to be fifteen feet more to the left or front or back then we would have no issue with that.... Thanks for the info, it added another box to check on the final decision making process list.
  3. yeah, we aren't at all concerned with it sitting in a certain position, just slap it anywhere....
  4. Thanks, we will definitely have that checked as well, the builder is very confident it will fit because we want it put in the center of both lots so if the other houses around the lot fit on half of what we want then we feel pretty confident that our house (very similar in dimensions as the existing houses) will have plenty of room. But I will absolutely make sure that is a contingency of the contract. Thanks for the info, this is exactly the kind of information we want and need. Quick question though, would the survey let us know this information?
  5. But what if we sought out a buyer and there is no agents involved? We are going to offer them a lower price and offer to pay for the expenses such as survey and appraisal. There would be no financing, we will pay for it outright so it should be pretty simple. I have access to a broker who is going to help me through the process and make sure all is handled appropriately but only as an advisor, he doesn't want a commission because he knows we are trying to get the property cheap.
  6. I was wondering where you were! I knew you could help... So, pre-purchase there is nothing I need to do?
  7. Thanks I will get you some pics once we get it done. We will be putting ours up for sale very soon with an agent, we briefly tried the by owner/craigslist thing because we were in no rush. We barely qualify for both mortgages so if we don't sell it will be ok, we'll be eating beenie weenies for a while but it will be worth it in the end. If it sells we will just rent for a while. And thanks NinaBritt I will check with them as well.
  8. Yes, we do want to build it pretty much straddling both lots to give it the best appearance. The house is pretty wide and adding a drive way on each side of the house doesn't leave much ability to squeeze it onto one. We could give up the second driveway and fit it on one lot but prefer not to do that. We want some space from our neighbors and this would give us just over an acre.
  9. We have been looking for houses for a few months now and nothing we have found suits our needs so we have come to the realization we are likely going to have to build what we want.... We have found two lots that individually are not exactly what we want but combined would give us the ideal situation! So, my question is do you know how difficult it is to combine two lots into once? Is it just a matter of filing certain paperwork with the county, or if you own both of them it doesn't matter if you build a house on both?' Alternatively, if anyone is thinking of selling their home and it is i
  10. Just like some consider Dallas to be Texas...
  11. I was wondering if they still did those sprayings... I remember when I was a kid and the big old trucks would come by fogging us all while at the beach, fun times!
  12. Yay for bigger ones! It's those sneaky little ones you need to worry about!
  13. I am thinking she might be trying to get a divorce decree that shows she has custody and prevents a spouse from moving the kid out of state.
  14. Oh my Lawd, there is NOTHING wrong with Army men on cupcakes and anyone who sees an issue or hidden meaning in it needs hobbies, LOTS and LOTS of hobbies.
  15. Dude you really need to go with a yahoo or gmail address so you don't have to change it each time you change providers. Just a tip!
  16. I wasn't attacking, I just never heard of it... Will a Coker-Coler week?
  17. Chilled beef? That doesn't sound at all appetizing, glad you enjoyed it.
  18. If it's an insane offer I just reply "No thank you." No elaboration, no reasoning, simple and to the point. Hoping it will convey the, hey you are an idiot hidden meaning in the message.
  19. Someone better tell Wellstar then! I have been to a couple of their offices and files are right behind the reception check in... I have noticed a lot of Dr's offices are this way.
  20. They are also collecting on people moving in from out of state whether they bought a car or not. Before they would charge it on a car purchased and brought in state but I don't think they charged tax on someone's existing car being transferred to Georgia. They should make good money off of both of those avenues.
  21. I agree but the schools should be no different than the courts. A person should be responsible within the system to evaluate the punishment. In this case it should be no different than someone who was pulled over and given a written warning. Surely these well paid and well educated principals are bright enough to figure out what is worthy of serious punishment versus a stern "don't do that again, if you do I will have to enforce this stupid ass rule and suspend you."
